Jazzy New Covers

Covers should reflect a books tone. My old covers were serviceable but rather dull. Hardly a true reflection of the twisted, rude, outrageous contents. So, I present the new covers: a second attempt to convince readers it really is worth looking inside.

Dead Meat

I’m a writer and maybe people would rather take an early look at what I’m writing than read a random blog post about How to Train Your Dragon 3.

No Room for Bedroom Antics

A theme in Deny Friendship is finding a life partner. In an earlier draft, one of the couples was more fully fleshed out. The pair even had a bedroom scene, a scene I was fond of, so I’ve posted it for the readers who loved Deny and want a tiny bit more.

Breaking into the Top 100... briefly

I ran my first free promotion of Screw Friendship last month and nobody was more amazed than me to watch the book rocket up the Amazon.com free chart.

The Tyranny of Genres

Categories help us navigate an overly-complex world. Fish, poultry, meat, vegetarian. Romance, thriller, mystery, sci-fi. Those tags are the signposts people follow to find a meal or a book to satisfy them and often end up bored by the same old same-old. Unfulfilled. Food, like books, is so much more than the ingredients or recipe.

Ray Bradbury was Wrong

Science fiction writer Ray Bradbury got the future all wrong. Not just the rockets that peppered the sky and the automatic chef robots that dispensed a meal at the press of a button. Ray Bradbury failed to predict that in the (perfect) future nobody would speak with the aid of an adverb, and exclamation marks would be on the verge of extinction.

Pursue Friendship Live(ish)

Well, it's up there, Pursue Friendship. But its sadly been hit by a recurring issue on the KDP platform: HTML tags dumped directly into the product description.
