“Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese.”
― Alarms and Discursions
― Alarms and Discursions

“A man of my acquaintance once wrote a poem called "The Road Less Traveled", describing a journey he took through the woods along a path most travelers never used. The poet found that the road less traveled was peaceful but quite lonely, and he was probably a bit nervous as he went along, because if anything happened on the road less traveled, the other travelers would be on the road more frequently traveled and so couldn't hear him as he cried for help. Sure enough, that poet is dead.”

“Then the Old Man of the Earth stooped over the floor of the cave, raised a huge stone from it, and left it leaning. It disclosed a great hole that went plumb-down.
"That is the way," he said.
"But there are no stairs."
"You must throw yourself in. There is no other way.”

I will put that lecture in the mail this weekend. I am up to my eyeballs in genealogy and Family History, plus teaching, reading and writing.
Do you intend to try some screen writing? Or to do an animated film? I took screen writing, but my mind works better in prose and poetry.
Ya, I had heard of that. It's unfortunate. However, I suppose that if this world is to have its C.S. Lewis'es and George MacDonalds, it's gotta have its Phillip Pullmans and Douglas Adamses.
I am working right now on a mixed-media graphic novel. There is good news for its eventual market distribution, but I can't announce anything yet.
Genealogy is great! Love it.
