House update and next release date
Something Wicked This Way Comes - Volume 2 comes out May 1st on Kindle and B&N. It will release at Ellorascave on May 2nd. I get asked a lot why that is. My new releases come out on Tuesdays at Amazon and B&N, Wednesdays at Ellorascave. It’s how they are scheduled. I have had so much fun writing these anthology shorter stories with other Ellorascave authors. There are two more volumes coming soon but I don’t have the release dates yet. This one features my story of Scarred and Kilt.

My life is still a bit crazy with the big move to Nevada. The painting is done and I’m including some photos here on my blog. We have new carpet and a few rooms of hardwood installed now. The majority of the repairs have been done. I only have a few things left that need done around here. I have people coming this week to paint the deck around the pool (it was chipping). I have a gate on the side yard that I think was placed so far back to allow someone to park a boat or other guy toy there. LOL.  I’m having that gate moved forward to give the kids more play area connected to the backyard. It was just wasted space otherwise. It also is driving me nuts that we have double front doors. They are nice but there aren’t screens across them. I love having my front doors wide open and when the kids and cats come...BAD idea! That cats are indoor ones. I had the handyman take a look, measure, and ordered security screened doors he will install hopefully Friday. I looked at regular screens and hated them. I am used to security doors since I had them on my mobile home and that way I can lock them, leave the doors open, and not have to worry about anything going in or out of them. LOL.  I drove around and found a few houses where they’d been installed. It’s an upscale neighborhood and I didn’t want to be the only house on the block with them.
I have furnished more rooms! I’m still in need of the odds and ends - a table here, a lamp there, but the majority of it is done!  I also bought another shelf to my library unit. Here is the before and after pics. I will get my desk (I miss it soooo much!) hopefully this weekend when Mr. Laurann comes to visit me. The hardest part about this is being away from him and our children. They will be moving here when their school year ends and I can’t wait!!!
Here are some other pictures. The Loft...
The living room...
As you can see by the loft...I really do still need to buy stuff or wait for it to come from California. My desk is one of those items. I really miss it! Mr. Laurann is making a trip to visit me this weekend! He’s bringing my desk, treadmill, my other desktop computer I use to make book videos, and he’s not coming alone!!! I get to see kids!!! I’m SOOO EXCITED!!!
I am getting back into the groove of writing. I want to turn in four books by the end of June. Keep in mind that some of them are close to being finished. I always say I am a mood writer and work on different books instead of just one. It keeps me from experiencing writer’s block. Sky’s story from Cyborg. Cousin Brand from Mating Heat. Obsidian and Shadow’s books. I think I can do it since I don’t have to worry about the electricity being interrupted while repairs are being done or having to unplug the computer for painters. I have all day and night just to write. It helps me avoid being super lonely since they all keep me company.
In book news...Tiger hit the NY Times and USA Today best seller lists. Thank you so much!!! I can’t believe it’s real. I keep saying that because it’s the truth. I was just a woman with a dream, a love for writing, and I never even considered the books would become so popular...ever. I’m floored in the best way and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. You guys are AWESOME!!!
I have been swamped with emails and I’m a bit behind in answering. I take a few hours a day to respond to them (I’m catching up) but I’m trying to finish the books too so I’m putting in some heavy writing hours. Here’s the questions that I seem to be getting the most of.
Q - Are female and primate Species getting books?
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A - Yes. You’ll see stories about them soon!
Q - Will Vengeance, Brass, Breeze, and Flame get their own books?
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A - Yes!
Q - Are there more Mating Heat and Riding the Raines books coming?
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A - Yes.
Q - Are there going to be more Zorn books?
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A - This summer I’m devoting time to finish writing Vhon, Cotto, and Vinlotti’s stories.
Q - Will Sky be the last Cyborg Seduction book?
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A - No. I have outlines and chapters started for at least four more books. It’s an open series (New Species is too) which means that I don’t have a set number of books planned, nor do I see ending the series any time soon.
Q - I love New Species and want to buy something. Any way to do that?
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A - I have been getting a lot of questions about this topic so I’ve been working on a plan to do something that will allow you to buy something Species. It’s going to take some time but I’m hoping before Christmas to have some products available. Maybe T-shirts, necklaces, key chains, mugs, ect. I have to do some more research on it, find somewhere that isn’t overpriced (it shouldn’t cost you a fortune to buy the things you want - FIRM believer in that! LOL). Hopefully soon! I do hear you and I am trying to find a solution so everyone is happy.
Q - Did you really sign a 75 book deal with Ellorascave?
ÌýÌýÌýÌý A - Yes! Everyone at Ellorascave is awesome, I LOVE writing for them, and that’s how I’m able to tell you that you’ll be seeing a lot more books. They are contracted!
Okay...I think that covers most of the questions I get the most. I hope everyone has a fantastic week!!! I’ll be writing and this weekend...spending time with my family!
Happy Reading!

Tiger is OUT!!!
Book 7 in the
New Species series.
Zandy's had too much to
drink and is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She knows she's going to die.
When next her eyes open, a beautiful man-creature is holding her in his arms.
He's just too tempting to resist; her very own fallen angel. She wraps herself
around his body, determined to have him. But when this angel turns out to be
flesh and blood, reality crashes in—she's seducing a New Species.
Tiger's shock quickly
turns to intense passion when the human female kisses him, despite the fact
she's trying to get his clothes off while he's engaged in a task force
operation. He's also made it clear he'll never take a mate. Rather difficult
when he and Zandy can't keep their hands off each other. The taste and feel of
his little human just leaves Tiger wanting more.
Publisher's Note:
While each New Species book is a standalone, the greatest enjoyment will come
from reading them in series order.
(I strongly suggest you read them in order depite them being considered standalones)

I have no idea when they are releasing at other vendors. Hopefully soon!
The next New Species books are being written right now. I had hoped to have one finished by now but the new house thing has set me back a bit but I'm catching up. I'm happy to say that at the end of this week...all will resume to almost normal for me. The carpet is going in tomorrow which means I can have a real desk again and not have people coming in and out of the house to do stuff. I'll have electricity 24/7 or access to it without someone needing to unplug me to paint walls or install carpet. Furniture is being delivered this week too. I finally got a couch. I was so tired of sitting on a mat on the floor. LOL. In a few days I'll have a real bed again that doesn't need an air pump. I will also have a table again to eat at. No more living out of a suitcase or having to run to Walmart to buy clothes just to have clean ones. The washer/dryer were delivered after they finished with the laundry room. It's amazing how you can forget to appreciate simple things like clean clothes and something soft to sit on until you're camping in an empty house.
My husband and my younger kids are here with me this week! I missed them SO MUCH! I am going to miss them again when they return to California on Sunday. I can't go with them. There's more that needs done here and I'm so far behind in where I wanted to be with my writing that I'm going to be putting in some EXTREME hours over the next few months but they are going to come visit me on certain weekends. The time will fly by before they move into the house with me full time when their school year ends. I plan to finish the two New Species books - Obsidian and Shadow, finish Cousin Brand's story from Mating Heat, and Sky from Cyborg. I'm also hoping to finish a Raine book by the end of June. Then...I'm dedicating time to Zorn. Coto, Vhon, and Vinlotti's stories.
I get a lot of emails asking me about the series I write so I'll state it here. LOL. There are going to be more books for all of my series. I have a 'to write' list. Here's what is on it. I'm planning on writing all the brothers, including Trip and Adam from Riding the Raines. Vhon, Coto, and Vinlotti from Zorn Warriors are on that list. Mating Heat stories...Cousin Brand, the rest of the Harris brothers...and possibly Alpha Elroy will get a story. Cyborg Seduction...Sky. More cyborg books are planned. Of course...New Species. A LOT of them. I get asked if Breeze, 927, and Brass will get stories the most. Yes. I had written 9 of the books in the NS series originally and had 3 more books that were mostly finished when I had to stop writing due to health issues some years ago (when I got pregnant with my son). I had gone through all my old computers and found/rescued a bunch of partial stories I'd written for characters off the hard drives. Let's just say there were a ton more of them than I remembered writing. LOL! So there will be a LOT more stories and I know who is hooking up with whom. I'm just trying to put them in timeline order (why I'm writing a few new books between #7 and #8 of the originals) and will update, rewrite, and finish them.
My 'not so secret' series I talk about sometimes I had hoped to release sometime this year but I'm pushing it back until I get caught up on my 'to write' list. Hopefully that will be the beginning of next year sometime. I haven't worked on them at all lately in my 'free' time since I haven't had any. LOL. I want to catch up and get books out to you on your favorite series before I release a sixth series.
Okay...so now I think you're completely up to speed on what's going on with my life and my writing. LOL. I do apologize for being so far behind in answering emails. It's been tough living in a home while they are painting, fixing it up, and waiting for carpet so I can have furniture again. Everything that could go wrong...pretty much has. It's been a comedy of errors that sometimes wasn't so funny. Like having to live in a hotel for six days waiting for the keys to get in the house and my laptop decided to go out on me so I couldn't write. Carpet I wanted...they said it would be installed but then said they couldn't do it within a reasonable time so I had to scramble to find someone else. It held up...everything else. I am getting back on track though. It's almost over and I'll catch up. I'm going to hate being apart from my family but the up sides are I'll have a ton of free time to write and by the time they join me...the house will be totally ready for them to live in so it's less stress on the kids. They can pretty much pack their clothes and toys...and just move right into their finished rooms. I've named them. My 7 year old son has the Spongebob room. My 9 year old daughter has the 'princess' room, and my 13 year old daughter has the 'WOW!' room. Um...that's what everyone who comes in says when they see the bright blue and almost neon yellow/green paint she picked. Also...I have one room as a gym. I'm having gym stuff delivered soon so hopefully I'll lose a bit of weight before summer. That's the plan!
Happy reading!

Stealing Coal came out in print. It's at the Ellorascave
website ...
Hopefully...all my links are active. I'm doing this from my
computer on Word and then sending it to someone to load on my blog. (Thank
goodness for great friends!) I apologize if the links didn't work. Which brings
me to my house. LOL. Mr. Laurann and I went to Vegas last week to pick up the
keys but there was a final holdup so...I didn't get the keys until Tuesday. Almost
a week in a hotel sounds funs usually but it really wasn't. LOL! I don't
gamble, I was tired of eating out, and I JUST wanted those keys! My laptop kind
of went on strike and word refused to work so...I was typing out in notepad. I
have to now painstakingly transfer that over to my desktop to add into the
book.
So...now I'm kind of set up at the house and Mr. Laurann is
back home with our kids. I miss them a lot! But...I have had the floor people
in for the carpet/flooring. The handyman was here yesterday and will return
today. Maybe tomorrow. I got to use hot water this morning!!! (Yeah, I enjoyed
the ability to shower again!). My big excite moments are going to be after the
painters come to do at least one wall where the fridge goes so I can have one
delivered. The painter guy came yesterday and he's sending a crew next week to
do the house. Then I can have the new carpet/flooring installed after he's
done. THEN...furniture delivered!
I'm sleeping on an air mattress, I have my desk set up on a
folding table and chair. I miss MY desk! LOL. I had to hunt for 20 minutes
through bags to find a pen yesterday to take notes. LOL! It's crazy living out
of a suitcase and bags. I am really looking forward to them painting the
laundry room and being able to wash my clothes once they are done and the
washer/dryer are delivered. I ran to Walmart last night to buy clothes just to
have some clean ones because I only packed enough for a week thinking I'd get
in the house sooner and they'd be installed by now. LOL!
My access to the Internet is very limited. I apologize that
I'm so far behind on my emails and not on facebook much. The house is big and I
don't get great cell reception inside it. Ellorascave is holding a
contest/cover reveal .
In case that didn't work I'm typing out the link -
Obsidian's cover is there. I don't know the release date
because I'm still working on it and I'm behind! I'm trying to finish the story
quickly but I won't compromise the storyline for speed. I just plan to put in
some MEGA hours. LOL! The next book after that is Shadow. I should (fingers
crossed) have Obsidian all cleaned up and sent in within the next few weeks. Shadow's
story...well, I think a lot of you will be extremely excited. He's NOT hooking
up with a human. There's your huge hint! LOL.
Pictures - I posted a picture of my temporary desk .
(facebook) I will post more pictures after the painting/carpet people are done with
my office. That should be (fingers crossed) by the end of next week. Mr.
Laurann and the kids are coming here to spend Easter Vacation with me in the
house so I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing them! My office is going to have
dark blue carpet, blue walls with possibly one gray one. I talked to the
painter about adding a gray metallic wall that is magnetic for all my book
covers and promo stuff that I do that are magnets. I thought that would be
cool. LOL! I just...want it all done so I'm settled in! Life is...crazy right
now!!! It will be worth it once we're all together again and the house has
furniture. LOL! Oh...and getting that fridge...and the washer/dryer. Man...you
don't know how much you appreciate the little things like ice, cold food, and
clean clothes until they are gone. LOL! I've also come to appreciate those plug
into your car GPS things. Otherwise...I'd be so lost when I leave the house.
Happy Reading and I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Tiger is coming out April 10th where it is available for pre-order on Kindle and B&N. It hits Ellorascave on April 11th. It will be released at other vendors shortly after that. Blogger has cut out again and suddenly stopped allowing me to link so please go to my website for links. Here is the blurb.

in the New Species series.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all my readers, friends, and family. If you hadn't heard, Wrath hit the New York Times and USA Today Best Sellers lists. I'm...stunned. Honestly. Humbled. I was a housewife with a love for writing, a dream that I refused to give up, and I never expected my books to do this well or be read by so many. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every day I feel extremely blessed because I get to do what I love so very much. I also want to thank everyone at Ellorascave. They gave me an opportunity to get my stories out there and they have been so supportive, so wonderful, and have become like family to me. I can't wait for Romanticon to come because I'm going to be hugging a LOT of people! LOL!!! They were also nice enough to put a fantastic banner up on the Ellorascave website.

On the home front...long story but we may have to start all over on the house hunt. We'll find out next week. My life has been put on hold by this while we waited for everything to come together. They pushed back the closing four times. It's really been...depressing but that's life. Stuff happens. I'm going to look on the bright side if we don't get the house. I fell in love with it, had mentally gone over every inch of it on where I wanted to put stuff, and imagined us living there but...if it comes down to it, we will find another one. Maybe we'll love it more.
The down side is starting the process all over again. It won't be easy finding a babysitter for our three younger children to take yet another trip or two to Vegas. The kids are in school so they probably won't be able to go with us unless we plan to do it on a weekend. I can't see them surviving looking at ten plus houses a day for two in a row without some major crankiness. LOL. Whatever happens, it will work out somehow. I'm a firm believer in that and I always have my sense of humor. I just hope there are plenty of houses available to look at that could close fast. It's tough because we need a lot of room with our family and I'm set on getting my own office. No more writing in a corner of my living room!
On a personal note - Mr. Laurann and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary this Sunday!!! I get asked how we met and how I knew he was the one. It's...kind of a funny story. I had come out of a really bad relationship and had sworn off men. Yeah. I think we've all been there, right??? I had promised myself that I'd take at least a year off from dating. A friend of mine called me and long story short, she introduced me to him. You know that saying opposites attract? It applies. LOL. By the time dinner was over I was fascinated by him. He was really smart, reserved, and...so not my type. That's okay. I wasn't his type either. LOL! We talked for days and started dating.
I knew he was the one when he took me and another friend of mine shopping at the mall. She had been invited to this formal event and we were sitting inside this dress store while she tried on gowns. A song came on over the speakers and he held out his hand to ask me to dance. Glass windows to the interior of the mall be damned. So there we were, slow dancing around racks of dresses to Wind Beneath My Wings and Under the Boardwalk (Bette Midler sung them). People stopped to gawk at us but we didn't care because it was one of those moments when only the two of you exist. I knew then that he was the 'one' for me. He's a hell of a man! Every year we get to spend together is the best one yet. He's my best friend, my lover, and one day I hope to chase him around in my wheelchair despite knowing it won't be hard to do since he'll let me catch him. I love him beyond belief and I know he loves me that much too.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic day and happy reading! I'm going to go write.

Wrath is OUT today and Tiger is coming soon!
Wrath
was released on Kindle and B&N today!!! It's being released at Ellorascave
tomorrow. It should be loaded at other vendors quickly. I know a lot of people
wonder why the scheduling is like that. (I read your emails) This is what I
know (I get a lot of emails). My Kindle/B&N releases come out on Tuesdays.
My books at Ellorascave tend to be released on Wednesdays and Fridays. It's
site scheduling.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
(Linking ability seems to be DOWN for Blogger so I'll post them at the bottom and hope the post isn't messed up too. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!)
I
have gotten a LOT of emails asking about Tiger. I'm pretty certain it's getting
an April release. It should be posted really soon on the Ellorascave site in
coming soon. I'll post when it hits too. Tiger...is finally going to learn why
some of his NS male friends are so attracted to human females. LOL! I had a lot
of fun working and updating the book. I added about 40,000 words to the
original story.
I
wanted to apologize for the slowness in returning emails, the blog updates, and
not being on facebook often. We bought a house and the closing date has been
pushed back three times. I might have to go to Vegas again at ANY TIME to sign
the final papers and we will get the keys...or it could be pushed back again.
It's sent my schedule flying out the window. I wanted to get it all done as
quickly as possible so this didn't happen. It's a MESS! I hate having my life
up in the air. I feel bad. I've had to
turn down blog invitations and interviews because I can't promise to do
something when I'm not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow or the next day...or
the one after. I'm at the mercy of other people that I have no control over.
LOL!
We
had Mr. Laurann's brother visit us and a birthday for one of our children
(Happy 13th birthday to my second daughter!!!). Life has been...hectic!
Honestly. I'm so far behind it's not funny. I usually have a lot of hours in my
day dedicated to writing and being available online to do everything but not so
much lately. Life will resume to normal at some point. I was SURE everything
would be done regarding the house by the end of March but now...it's going to
drag into April. I know there's no way that the interior walls can be painted,
carpet installed, repairs finished, and the stuff I have to order AFTER all
that is done - will be delivered by the end of the month even if the house were
to close tomorrow. I'm just not that lucky. LOL. If I'm wrong...I'll be buying
a lotto ticket!
The
up side...wherever I am, whatever is going on...I will be writing. I can do
that anywhere on my laptop. I wanted to warn you that while life is crazy...and
it is...I might suddenly disappear from the Internet. I have NO CLUE how fast
the Internet can be turned on at the house. I know where I live it can take
anywhere from three days to a few weeks once you call to schedule service activation.
I'm hoping they aren't as backed up there as they are here. Wouldn't it be
AWESOME if we call one day and they could send out someone within 24 hours??? I
do write fiction. I can fantasize. LOL! In order to do that though...we need
the keys first. Anyway, that's what is going on. I honestly don't know day to
day what I'll be doing tomorrow or even what city I'll be sleeping in.
I
hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Wrath and Tiger...and my crazy life! LOL!

Tiger has a cover. Isn't it awesome? I love this one. Heck, I love them all. I'm totally feeling the book cover love from the wonderful Ellorascave cover Goddess. I get asked a lot if I pick my covers. No. I do however get to fill out cover request forms and let them know what I'd like to see on them. I don't know who all the models on my covers are. Sometimes they are (cover models). Those are some really fantastic men. I've been lucky enough to meet lot of them at . I don't have a release date yet for Tiger but I'm VERY hopeful for sometime in April.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
I have a 'to write' list. I plan to finish and/or write books for all my series. Cyborg Seduction has stories coming up. Mating Heat has stories coming. Riding the Raines will have more books. Zorn will have Vhon, Coto, and Vinlotti's stories. I don't know the titles of the books yet. There are a lot of New Species books, plus there's a few of them have already been written. I just am shelving those two finished books until I write a few new ones so the timeline of the stories fit.
The thing about me is...I always say I'm a mood writer. That's so true. I also write more than one book at a time. I never have writer's block because if one book holds me up...I can always work on another. Lately my muse has been...mischievous. Yeah. That's the word I'm going with. I could think of others but stubborn, misbehaving, and difficult don't sound as charming. I keep telling it that I have an ORDER of when I want to write certain books. I remind it that people are waiting for those books. I even lecture it about how schedules should be kept and mentally point to the list I made of what books I want to finish next. My muse...keeps obsessing where it shouldn't be. It's daydreaming about books not on that list or out of order. It's reading where I left off on a book I NEED to finish...and another character is taunting me from another book as if it were standing on my keyboard. GRRRRR!
I was talking to an author friend and she said maybe I need to back up in the books and that perhaps I took a wrong turn and that's why I haven't finished the stories yet. That perhaps I don't love what I've written and that's the reason for why I'm so torn. I read the stories on my 'to finish this month' list and nope, that's not it. I LOVE the stories. OMG. Wait until you read the beginning of Cousin Brand's story. I laughed so hard I hurt stomach muscles. There are scenes so hot I fogged up the monitor with my heavy breathing. I don't know what you or my editor is going to think but um, I LOVE Brand's story. Sky? Scorching. He's irresistible with his gray hair, light blue eyes...deep voice...and his love of everything human including the way he's picked up all those sayings from Earth that drive his fellow Cyborg pals nuts. I love Sky. Then there is Obsidian (880 from NS). He's taunting me. He's standing on my keyboard growling and flashing sexy fangs. Like 'HELLO!!! I'm right here and I won't be denied!" He's even taking off his shirt to get my attention. He's got that waist long jet-black hair too. If he starts dancing...yeah. I'm a goner! LOL.
So...to make a long story that probably sounds a bit crazy...short...I'm trying really hard to concentrate on all three of them. (Welcome to the insane world that totally is normal for authors) Sometimes Ryder shows up with a grin and a wink. He plays guitar and he's hot...in my defense. I spent last night with him and his story. MY BAD! He isn't scheduled this month...or Obsidian. Yet...I'm spending time with them. They are distracting me from Brand and Sky. I keep telling my muse they should all strip off their shirts and wrestle for it. I'll play the very watchful referee and winner takes the whole month of my imagination but um...that's the bad thing about writing dominant badass types. The fight would last forever and they all refuse to lose. (Did I just type that out? Whoops. I probably shouldn't admit that I actually picturing that wrestling match...a lot...LOL!)
I'm trying very hard to write their stories in order but my schedule is quickly turning into a useless paperweight on the corner of my desk. Order? What's that? It's chaos! Sexy, tempting, taunting bedlam where characters are distracting me away from each other. I'm trying to keep my muse in line. I offered it chocolate despite being on the dreaded diet. It hasn't fallen for it yet but I have high hopes! LOL. My answer to dealing with this is to put in more hours to divide my time between all of them. I'm mentally chaining myself to my desk. The books are going to get done but I can't promise the order they will be coming out. I don't exactly write fast but I put in a LOT of hours. I'm just going to add in another ten or twenty hours a week thanks to my muse being so obsessed with so many stories currently. This is one of those times I'm very grateful to suffer from insomnia. LOL!
I'm going to ask Mr. Laurann update my website soon. He's in charge of that now. He's wonderful but extremely busy since he's dealing with everything to free me up to write more. I've felt too guilty to ask him to do that yet since not only is he wrangling the kids and the home but he's dealing with the stuff about our new house we are buying. Did I mention he's AWESOME? He totally is. He even lures me away from my desk to watch Doctor Who and cuddle with him when I've spent way too much time writing.
Have a great week while I wrestle with the guys. LOL!

Wrath is coming soon! SWTWC is in print too.
Hello to everyone reading my blog. I hope that your weekend was fantastic and that your week is going smoothly. I'm still recovering from back to back colds. It's the down side of having kids who go to two schools. They bring home different colds...and we did teach them to share rather well. LOL!
Wrath is coming out March 6th on and . It's hitting on March 7th. Shortly afterward, it will be loading at other vendor sites. Yippee!
Something Wicked This Way Comes - Volume 1 came out in print this week. Have I mentioned how blessed I feel to be a part of these anthologies? More of them will be coming but I don't know the dates of release yet.
I want to apologize for getting behind on emails and responses. Buying a house has been time consuming. We're moving to Nevada from California so it's a bit of a drive back and forth. We've had to go to Vegas twice in a matter of a few weeks. We won't have to return until the house closes. Let's just say I'm going to be relieved when we're all moved in and settled. It has cut into my writing time but once I get my office all set up...I'll more than catch up. I'll have a door I can close and just write without interruption or distractions. I WILL post pics once I get my office all set up.
I finished updating and fixing Tiger. It's going to be sent in first thing in the morning. Yippee! I had to do a lot of rewrites on it and added quite a bit of word length to it. It took longer than I planned because of that, these colds, and the trips I've taken. Now I can move on to working on Sky (Cyborg Seduction series) and finishing Cousin Brand's story from Mating Heat. I plan to write a Raines book too. I have one that is half done. I never work on just one book. I'll spend hours of my day writing in one series, then the rest of it on another. Sometimes I'll spend a few days on a series...yeah. I'm a mood writer, I write by the seat of my pants (I'm not a plotter when I write books), but the up note is I never suffer from writer's block this way. If one book stumps me...I switch and work on another...then come back at it after taking a break. It works for me.
I've gotten a lot of emails. I keep debating on adding a 'frequently asked questions' page on my website. I just haven't had time to do it. I'm writing. LOL! I'll answer some of them here. I haven't done book trailers recently because I do them myself and haven't had the time. Once I catch up on the books where I want to be...I'll probably spend a week just making trailers to catch up where I should be on them as well. What is the best advice I have for aspiring authors? Write. Don't give up! Write because you love to do it and only write stories that you really love. Do I have any trouble coming up with book ideas? Um. NO! I get hit with them daily. Often. I can't write them all, there are too many, but the ones that stick in my head are the ones that end up in books. I will daydream about a character, get obsessed, and that's the winner of my muse! I get asked about New Species characters and people send me pairing suggestions often. LOL. I'm going to be totally honest. I know the advanced storyline of them for quite a few books forward. I really appreciate the suggestions though but any characters that you're meeting...their books are already written, at least partly.

Mr. Laurann and I hooked up all my old computers to check what files were on them and there were...a lot of partially written books. So many that I'd forgotten I'd even written them. It has been some years, in my defense, but yeah. A LOT of them. I used to write a book and I'd end up writing at least a few chapters of about every character mentioned so I'd know where I wanted his or her story to go. LOL! I'm still guilty of doing that. I have partials for the Raine brothers. For Mating Heat. Zorn. Cyborgs. A TON of them for New Species. LOL. I just have to finish them. I'm writing as quickly as I can. Sometimes I finish them out of order so they sit. Drake Raine's story is one of those. It's mostly done but I want to finish Ryder's story first. To keep the timeline. Drake's story though gripped me and yeah...I wrote most of it since I got obsessed with him. Deviant from Cyborg is another book that is mostly finished. I got obsessed despite Sky's story coming first. I'm always writing. I just wish I could train my brain to write in timeline order! LOL! But they will all get done and turned in as quickly as possible. I love to write and boy am I happy! LOL!
My other project is gearing up for this year. I hired a graphic design/cover artist to do some things for me for promotional items to pass out at the book signing. She's super talented!!! (). For those of you unable to attend, I'll do some contests!
I hope everyone has a great week!

Wrath has a release date and Slade is out in print!
Sorry for the delay in a new post. I've been writing, getting over a cold, and we are buying a house. LOL! Yeah, it's been SUPER hectic in my world and I apologize. I try really hard to keep everyone updated but I have just been swamped lately.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Wrath is available for pre-order at and for a March 6th release. The excerpt for it is up at - where it will release the next morning on March 7th. It will hit other vendors around that time as well.
We got our house!!! Our bid won and now it's all about paperwork and we are taking another quick trip to Vegas this week to be there for the inspection before it closes. The younger kids are SO EXCITED to get to see their soon to be new home!!! I'm taking my video camera, my tape measure, and my picture camera since we have to buy furniture. I'll be glad when this big move is over. Mr. Laurann is handling most of this stuff so I can concentrate on writing. Isn't he awesome??? He is my official house hunk now. That will leave me more time to...write! AWESOME. I have so many projects to finish and get started on....yeah. And having my own office soon is going to help too. I'll be able to shut the door, put on my headphones, and just concentrate on finishing the books. I'm going to catch up on where I wanted to be with ALL of my series by the end of the year. HUGE thank you to Mr. Laurann for being such an amazing husband and father. And now...my hero at home.
In other news...Slade came out today at in print. That's two New Species books now. Fury is already out in print. More of them are coming. I've gotten a lot of requests for them in print so GOOD NEWS!!! Here is the Ellorascave , , and .
I've gotten a ton of emails asking about the #8 and #9 book in the New Species series. I haven't released the names. I didn't do it at first because I wanted to get approval for their names. Some of the NS names have already been changed due to overused name issues. I read the books and realized...I need to write a few books to sandwich in between them. I have the partials for those stories but I hadn't finished them. I'm going to do that and put them out before #8 and #9 to keep the timeline right so it goes from one story into another. One of them will be 880's story (the Species in the coma from Brawn's story). I write in my spare time for fun. Yeah. I have been tweaking the partial I had for him and have already added about four new chapters. That will probably be the one after Tiger. His name is Obsidian. (That name was approved!)
I'm going to work on Zorn this summer. I'm scheduling for that. It's my first big project I plan in my new office!!! I'm writing all three of them at the same time the way I did Touching Ice, Stealing Coal, and Redeeming Zorus for the cyborg series. I need to write them together because they are linked. Lots more books are coming and now I can get back on track thanks to Mr. Laurann being home so I can just write, write, write!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!! Thank you so much for all your support and for reading the books. I couldn't do this without you either.

A great start to the new year and a new cover!!!
I got the cover for Wrath! (919 in Brawn's book). I don't have an official blurb yet or release date but it shouldn't be too long. I wanted to take the time to thank everyone. Brawn hit the New York Times Best Seller list and USA Today!!! I'm still in shock, honestly. VERY COOL!!!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
In other news...I'm behind schedule. I didn't mean to get this way but between Christmas, us leaving town for a few days to go house hunting, and getting sick...yeah. I'm behind on where I wanted to be with other books. More are coming though. I should be turning in Tiger really soon. I'm working on books from my other series!
As I mentioned, we went house hunting. I work a lot of hours and my current office is 1/3rd of my living room. When we bought our current home I hadn't known I was pregnant (it was a great surprise eight years ago and we have a beautiful son) but we suddenly needed more room. We're cramped, only one bathroom, so we're buying something bigger. I'll get my own office, the kids won't have to share rooms, and it will have more than one bathroom! LOL! We did two frantic days of viewing houses, found one we REALLY LOVE, and placed a bid on it. We'll find out this week if we got it. Fingers crossed. It has a pool on top of all the space so Mr. Laurann and the kids are pretty excited. I could do without the pool but I know what it's like to care for one. LOL! No skimming for me. That was the deal! LOL! They get the joy of fishing out dead bugs. I hope they enjoy that. LOL!!!
Other than that...I'm just writing. I know for the new year we're suppose to make resolutions. All I want to do this year is write books, lose some weight, and spend more time with my family in a bigger house! LOL! Moving will be a nightmare, we have accumulated a lot of stuff, but it will be totally worth it. We're getting something three times the size of our current home. I can't even imagine. Honestly. The worst part? We have to buy furniture. I don't have an interior decorator bone in my body. I have a really bad feeling everything I pick is going to be black. LOL. It will match but yeah...I'm hoping my friends with great taste are going to visit and SAVE ME! Or that Mr. Laurann has been hiding his interior decorator side from me all these years and it will suddenly show up when we're wandering aimlessly around furniture stores. My other big 'look forward to' is Romanticon! Mr. Laurann and I are going in October.
I'll post as soon as I have a release date for Wrath!!! I love that cover. Again, I want to thank everyone. I couldn't do what I do without you, Ellorascave, and my family.

I wanted to congratulate all the other people nominated, it's an honor to be included, and it just made my day. : )
We're just DAYS away from Brawn's story coming out!!! To recap - it's the 5th New Species book and it's available for pre-order at and . It releases at both places on Dec 27th. It will release at and other vendors on Dec 30th.
The blurb and excerpt are up, click on the cover, and it will take you right there. I'm really nervous and excited about the book. LOL! The pressure is on after Justice's book. My CP (critique partner) actually put up a review on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ if you'd like to see it HERE.
Speaking of - She has a new book out, it's the first in a series called Battered Hearts, and I fell in love with Clay - the lead guy. He's a fighter, hot, with a good heart. Oh man...I couldn't put it down. Click the cover and it will take you to the blurb and it's also available at .
I wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful emails about Something Wicked This Way Comes - Volume 1! It's out at and now. It releases at on Dec 28th and other vendors. It was so fun to write Captain of Nara's Heart. There are three more volumes coming (I don't have the release dates yet) but it was so fun writing the stories for all of them. I feel really blessed to have been a part of the anthologies with so many wonderful and talented authors. I can't wait for the next volumes to be released!!!
Now...last but not least...Happy Holidays everyone!!! This is the time of year we all look back, go over the ups and downs in life for the past 12 months, and make resolutions for the new year. I've had a fantastic time. Honestly. It's been...AWESOME! The highlights were spending time with my family, writing and working on the books I have, going to , and just having the amazing people in my life that I do. I've gotten a ton of emails from people, all so supportive of the books, and on Facebook. Thank You! I couldn't do what I do without all of you. I'd still be writing, I love it that much, but I wouldn't be doing it near as much or having this amount of FUN!
What's my resolution for 2012? MORE BOOKS! Zorn Warriors, Riding the Raines, Mating Heat, Cyborg Seduction, and New Species. You'll be seeing books for all of them!!! I just finished cleaning up Wrath (6th New Species and preparing to submit it. Tiger will be next). The remaining 3 volumes of Something Wicked This Way Comes anthologies will be coming. I might even have a surprise for you this summer if I can catch up on my 'to write' list...and finish my 'secret series' I've been working on in my spare time. HOT! Promise! LOL!!!
Mr. Laurann and I are going to get to spend more time together. He's going to be taking over my website updates and find a new method to get updates out (I'll tell you more about that later since he hasn't worked on it yet...). That will give me more time to WRITE! Whoo Hooo!!! We're also going to be moving in 2012. I'm getting my own office! We'll have more than ONE bathroom. The kids will each have their own rooms. And...I plan to lose the last of my baby gain weight I put on having kids. LOL! I'm hoping to be a much thinner person by the time I arrive at Romanticon (hoping stating it makes it so! LOL) It's hard to lose weight when I sit so many hours in a day but I'm going to MAKE the time to work out.
In honor of the big upcoming move...I bought myself a set of bookends tonight from Amazon that will go on the first shelf I put up in my private office (no more using 1/3rd of my living room)! We'll be moving in a matter of months, we're house hunting now, and hopefully will find the perfect place soon! Very exciting and I think these are perfect for my office, don't you think? LOL! Sandwiched between them will be my print books! and are available in print at amazon! That makes a total of seven books in print now. AWESOME!!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! (this will be my last blog of 2011!!!) I wish everyone a safe and fun time!
