A TOUCH TOO MUCH: She shall bring death to the race of vampires. If prophecies are to be trusted, Liv possesses the means to destroy creatures of the night. But in the real world vampires don’t exist. At least not until one of them scents her. And pursues her. As she flees to save her life, she feels the power in her blood. The power that might eradicate a world of violence and darkness. The power that enchains her to the most ruthless vampire of all.

The Next Big Thing Blog Hop: GABRIEL

Today, I’m part of The Next Big Thing blog hop, thanks to erotic romance writer Victoria Pond, author of My Lady Gambler. The Next Big Thing is a branching pyramid-of-prose for authors to discuss their latest release or WIP. Each author answers some preset questions (see below for my answers), and then tags others to go next week. My contribution covers GABRIEL. The digital version of thisÌýbook is already out in theÌý, ÌýÌýand stores.

What is the working title of your book?

GABRIEL

Where did the idea come from for the book?

About 15 years ago I fell in love with Angel, the hot, brooding vamp from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Since then I’ve been meaning to create a story featuring a dark, ruthless master vampire. So I did and his name is Gabriel.

What genre does your book fall under?

It’s paranormal erotic romance. And suspense because if a book doesn’t capture my interest from the first pages I get bored.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Now that’s a tough question. As described in the story Gabriel is a huge man so I’d go for someone like Jason Momoa (lead male role in the movie Conan). Maybe Scarlett Johansson would make a great Calista and geld nasty vamps.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

Who can stop a master vampire from expanding his territory? Only one woman born with a rare, invisible power and hate for his kind deep in her blood. She enjoys gelding vampires until she faces a master who has become a legend. His name is Gabriel.

That’s four sentences, I know. Slap my hand!

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

GABRIEL is published by and also available at , and

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

Not that long as GABRIEL is a novella and the plot was crystal clear in my mind from the beginning. Then the editing process went very smoothly and the book was released in March. So I’m going to take a moment to thank my awesome fans for their fabulous reviews and very touching messages. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

No idea. That is for my readers to tell me. Feel free to leave comments, I read them all.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

Come on, don’t start me with Angel again! The guy is my obsession :)

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

As much as I loved creating my characters and have them evolve in a fantasy world, I have to say that writing love scenes is always intense and I had a blast.

Now, I tag these authors to answer these same questions next Wednesday:

Thanks for reading all about GABRIEL , available atÌý, , Ìýand . GABRIEL has received wonderful reviews, you can check them out on my Å·±¦ÓéÀÖÌýauthor’s page.

Would you like to be enchained?

Some mornings are so cool, especially when you wake up to a fantastic review!

My romantic suspense story ENCHAINED has been reviewed by Ava Vongiebel from Romance Book Junkies. I think I might reread it one more time :)

Ìý

ENCHAINED review:

WOW! Chris Lange’s imagination and writing skill still amazes me to pieces. Enchained is one unpredictable, original, engrossing and sensual read that had its grip on me until the very end. I think anyone that enjoys a sensual, romantic and suspenseful read will enjoy Enchained from start to finish!

It all starts off with Jany walking to her car in a parking lot and successfully ignoring her stalking ex boyfriend that seems unable to let go of their past relationship and totally unwilling to move on or allow her to do so. Keys in hand ready to enter her vehicle, she suddenly feels a sting to her neck. Next thing she knows her mouth falls open and then she’s introduced to darkness. From there she awakens to discover she’s being held captive in an unfamiliar place, chained up and completely naked.

Her abductor finally shows himself after some unknown amount of time and is wearing a white plastic mask, only his eyes being revealed; familiar eyes to Jany, but his demeanor and treatment of her is not like what she’d expect from her ex, Billy. What is wrong with this situation beside him not speaking a word and her being chained and naked?

I forewarn you. It gets very hot and spicy on these pages. All intimacies are consensual, desired and are what some woman only dream about. Be ready to be enticed, shocked and left wanting more :)

Yesterday’s Daughter

Hi peeps, I’m very pleased to receive today my fellow author Sallie Lundy-Frommer. Her paranormal romance novel is called YESTERDAY’S DAUGHTER, and as a treat here’s is an interview betweenÌýthe mainÌýcharacter Sapphira and the author herself :)

Sapphira from Yesterday’s Daughter Interviewed

by Sallie Lundy-Frommer

Sallie Lundy-Frommer: “I’m thrilled to have this chance to interview you, Sapphira. Everyone seems to think I’m an expert on all things Sapphira, but that isn’t the case. Your fans are anxious to know more about your relationship with Malachi.

Sapphira laughs softly, “I suppose they are. I’ll share as much as I can, but some things are for Malachi’s eyes and ears only. And, thanks for having me Sallie, but I have to admit, I’m a little nervous. I’ve never done anything like this before.

“Not to worry, we’re your admirers and fans, so you’re in safe hands.

“Thank you.

“Alrighty then, here we go. Malachi’s and your story has generated more notoriety than any love story in some time. Every time one of your fans writes or calls about you and Malachi, they gush like crazy. So tell me, you two were apart for a long time before finding each other, what really happened? It there more you can tell than what we read, Sapphira?

“This is hard, really hard to talk about. I wanted to put all this behind me.

“I know this difficult but your fans really want to know. Go on, it’s okay…

“We…we were kept apart and it took a long time for Malachi to find me. He…

“How long did take and what exactly kept you apart, come on…the devil is in the details…

Sapphira takes a deep sigh before continuing softly,“Death kept us apart or tried to. That is, most people believed I was dead. But, Malachi didn’t, thank God.

“Oh, that’s so tragic…

“Yes, yes it is.

“Okay, neither the fans nor I want to upset you. I see tears in your eyes. Let’s move onto happier times. How did you meet Malachi?

“Oh, it’s kind of funny and scary. He just showed up like the Holy Ghost. One second I was alone and the next, he was just there. Scared the heck out me, at first I thought he was a home invader. It took him a while to convince me that he wouldn’t hurt me. Then he explained a lot of stuff to me, including what I am, a vampire. It was scary then, but when I think about it now, it’s one of the best days of my life.

“And you believed him, that you’re a vampire?

“There’s a lot of back story that you don’t have time for; but yes, after a while, I believed him. It’s hard to explain, but his words triggered something in me. Let’s just say, it was the beginning of my awakening.

“And, now you’re married. How’s married life?

“Amazing, sublime, and eventful. The ceremony was like something out of a fantasy. I still can’t believe Malachi is my life mate. He’s been so patient and loving and let’s not forget he is the most beautiful vampire in the world, both inside and out. I guess my prejudice is showing here.

“Quickly, Sapphira, you said it was eventful. Anything you can share?

“Ahhhh…too much to be quick. I’ll just say, if it weren’t for Malachi, I wouldn’t have survived our adventures.

“Well, that’s it, we’re out of time. Sapphira, thanks for stopping by and say hello to Malachi.

“Thanks for having me, Sallie.

YESTERDAY’S DAUGHTER:

Yesterday’s Daughter is full of suspense and surprises as the plot develops. It holds a mirror to contemporary society so we can consider our feelings about people who seem different from us, the assumptions we may make about other groups, and the consequences of those assumptions. Yesterday’s Daughter is an emotionally laden paranormal vampire romance novel woven with layers of betrayal, love and loss. Grace Stone, who later learns her true identity is Sapphira, is a loner who survives abuse in the foster care system after being abandoned as a child. A brilliant student, she escapes from her brutal foster parents as a teenager and creates a life for herself. But, her life is little more than existence; plagued with questions about what she really is, a family that she has never known and the never-ending need to keep her differences hidden. She is alone and lonely, believing it will always remain so until Malachi appears in her life. Malachi, a Guardian of the vampire communities, has searched for his life mate, Sapphira, for decades. He refuses to cease searching for Sapphira even though she is believed dead by all. Conflict arises over the decades between Malachi and his family because of his refusals to accept another mate. But his very soul drives him on to continue his search, knowing that he could not exist if Sapphira were not in the world, somewhere.

Caught in fairytales

My childhood was filled with wonderful tales of kings, dragons, magic and princesses. As a teenager I discovered classic literature,ÌýH.G. Wells,Ìýand Stephen King, yet I never strayed far away from fantasy. Growing up I sometimes had trouble with reality being not as fantastic as my imaginary worlds, but I got by.ÌýTodayÌýthough I still believe in “Prince Charmingâ€.

Dear readers, take a moment to make fun of me. Come on, here’s your chance to display your best smile, I promise I don’t mind :)

Yes, I still believe in fairytale love because sometimes all it takes is to open our eyes. Love is right beside us, it usually has been there forÌýa long timeÌýbut we were too busy discarding it in the first place. Why? Because true loveÌýrarely looks like our childhood mental picture of “Prince Charmingâ€.

And that gave me the idea to write ENCHAINED. So for you today here’s the first page of ENCHAINED.

Have a great Sunday.

ENCHAINED:

Her stalker was crouched in the shadows. Jany Reed’s heart never missed a beat. Although she had only caught a glimpse of him, she knew who it was.

Here we go again. What’s gotten into you, Billy? You’re acting like a moron.

The breakup had been bad. The following weeks bordered on ugly. Wherever Jany went, Billy Carter lurked. His car had been parked two rows behind hers at the supermarket, at work, and at her friends house, his tall shape looming in the distance. His letters filled her mailbox; his messages expended the batteries of her answering machine, yet he didn’t push for another painful, pointless face-to-face. Their relationship was history.

For the moment, Billy didn’t seem to think so.

Walking out of the alleyway leading to the store’s parking lot, Jany wished he would get over her. Though she did her best to ignore his presence, his stupid peek-a-boo games were getting on her nerves. When would he understand they had nothing in common? Apparently not any time soon.

While looking straight ahead, Jany heard a shuffle behind her. Coming after me, Billy? Ballsy enough to talk to me this time? She wasn’t enthusiastic about a confrontation. Still, if she could hammer into his brain that their sex story was over, they both might find relief. Billy had been great in bed, on the living room table, and in an elevator twice. Yet once out of the sheets, he grated on her nerves. Truth be told, he totally belonged to the happy family of human nerds.

With Anchor Town’s main street on her right, Jany blinked. Since her eyes adjusted to the gloomy alleyway, the harsh neon signs felt like burns on her retinas. Holding her handbag in one hand, she dug the car keys out of her pocket with her other, and turned left toward the parking lot.

No strange noise followed her. She figured maybe her ex had decided to split. Typical of you, Billy. Come on, lover. Let’s get this over with so we can move on. Only silence welcomed her thoughts. She hadn’t expected anything else. Keeping her head high, Jany reached the entrance of the parking lot.

Then she felt a sting on her neck. A familiar smell wafted to her nose. A hospital smell. Her vision instantly blurred, her body slackened. She opened her mouth, drool on her chin. Her heavy eyelids wanting to be shut. Her car key clanged on the sidewalk. Her handbag slid down her shoulder.

Then darkness.
