For the benefit of teachers who may be considering reading with their junior class, here are some highlights from past troll-related school work:

Short Stories

A year 5 class created their own collection of smelly troll stories. In September the children will receive paperback and eBook copies of their professionally produced book. I supported this project by email and am keen to help other schools with creative writing projects.

Do you know what your Gran has on her Kindle?

If you haven't yet read , here's a summary of what the critics are saying:

"Just the tonic I needed, should be available on prescription." - Sarah Willis (Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ)

"I've been looking forward to reading this for ages and when it was available to download, I clicked on buy immediately. This has Rosen's brand of affectionate humour with some great set pieces that had me laughing out loud. It is also a funny parody for the current fashion of erotic fiction; and of My Litt...

Announcing Seesaw II

I noticed that many talented artists have recently started offering pre-made covers. These are an affordable alternative to a commissioning a professional cover design.

To save authors from having to visit dozens of websites looking for the most suitable cover, I've created a resource that pools covers from a variety of different designers.

.

My aim is to attract authors by providing a wide variety of cover designs, and help illustrators...

Out Now - My Granny Writes Erotica

My comedy novella, is out today for Kindle.

The Blurb

"Where on God's green earth l am I going to raise that sort of money? I'm a pensioner!" thought Betty. Then her eyes fell on her daughter's copy of Fifty Shades of Grey.

65-year-old Betty had given up on her life's ambition to write a bestselling novel. However, after walking in on her husband with a lady of the night, she finds herself single and with mounting debts. In need of a 'get rich quick' scheme, straight-lac...

Formatting Your POD Book - Some Tips

A number of indie authors are currently setting up print-on-demand (POD) titles. Here are a few tips from my own experiences. They relate to fiction writing.

The font face Georgia at size 11pt is clear and professional looking, for books aimed adults. You won't need any additional line spacing unless you're writing for children.Don't leave space between your paragraphs.8mm is a decent paragraph indent. Do not indent the first paragraph in each chapter or the first paragraph after a starred brea...

My thoughts on The Dragon Box by Katie W. Stewart

After seeing the talent, imagination and humour that puts into her artwork, I knew I had to read one the books she's written. Katie is the illustrator or my Smelly Trolls series but also an author in her own right.

Katie has written books for children and young adults. I chose , which is aimed at 8-12 year olds, because the people who ask me about Katie's books are usually children.

Katie's beautiful depiction of a dragon.

The Dragon Box is a magical chapter book,...
