As someone who is well studied in the history of Biblical and pre-Biblical times, I have to know - is this properly researched? I don't mind a good theory if it's backed up by historical information, but the author has to know what they're talking about. I'm not expecting Michael Crichton or Colleen McCullough grade research, but.... I need to know. Been disappointed far too many times before.

He adds a touch of fantasy--her ageless beauty. The visuals of the courts of Babylon and Egypt are particularly stunning and the characters well developed. All in all the author gives a fresh telling to an old, familiar tale that makes it worth the read. (less)

While this book is obviously biblical and I'm sure contains many mentions of God, is it very preachy? Or does it have more of a historical vibe?
