does this book read like fiction?? i鈥檓 really interested in the book but i鈥檓 trying to figure out if it is something i would like to read. i鈥檓 worried given it鈥檚 length i鈥檒l lose interest. (i typically read and enjoy fiction) :)

G R I'm going with Van Johnson as well based on her description of him and his freckles. Also he was in a movie called 30 Seconds over Tokyo.
