Appropriate for mature teens?

A I think it actually is very appropriate despite what some might say. It introduces important topics that are serious and need to be understood. The thing is, all you parents out there don't seem to understand that all the things you think you've sheltered teens from you really haven't. If you think your 8th grade kid isn't swearing when they leave your presence, you're dead wrong. All teenagers are overly exposed to mature topics such as cursing and sex as well as others. I beleive those who say this book isn't for mature teens is severely underestimating all teenagers and their capacity for understanding and knowledge. I myself am only 14 and have read and completely understood the book. I've recommeneded this book to several of my friends and they've all understood and enjoyed it. We may act like it, but we aren't all as foolish and naive as some believe us to be. (less)

One complaint I've heard about this book is that it feels much more palatable than her other titles. If you've read all of Flynn's books, do you agree with that?

Miranda Personally, I wouldn't use the word palpable. It wasn't as dark as her other two books. I am one of the few that believe Gone Girl to be highly overraâ€¦m´Ç°ù±ðPersonally, I wouldn't use the word palpable. It wasn't as dark as her other two books. I am one of the few that believe Gone Girl to be highly overrated. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it. I did. The issues I have with it is the major plot twist was painfully obvious long before I got there and the ending made me mad as hell. I much prefer Dark Places. I have just started Sharp Objects and I am enjoying it. (less)

How did you feel about the ending?

Susan Acosta I liked the ending. It wasn't neatly tied up in a bow. It was like real life (in a really MESSED up life). You do what you need to do and "carry on". â€¦m´Ç°ù±ðI liked the ending. Is it worth reading or should I wait for the movie?

Carrie Cody My answer will always be, read the book first. You'll find out so much that movie won't tell you. If you're enjoying it, it's a super easy read. hi i am half way through and still waiting ........... maybe the book is all hype? a victim of too many reviews by big name reviewer's ? waiting and reading patiently .... hurry and pick up.....or, i will be one "gone girl" & put this ebook away & start something more "thrilling ". so far :not happy. thanks & here's hoping :)
