The blurb calls this story an "office comedy," would you agree? It was just painful for me.

Dena The Office TV program is the epitome of office comedy to me. I found this book to be a much darker, less funny version of The Office.

What was up with Carl? I feel it was super vague about what happened to him? He is sick? How/why/more details pls. Is he an addict?

Did Joleneâ€™s mom marry a Canadian, or does she use Smith to keep from being harassed?

Eileen Castro In the audiobook the narrator, Nasim Pedrad, gives Jolene's dad an Iranian accent, so I think we're supposed to assume he's also from Iran unless thatâ€¦m´Ç°ù±ðIn the audiobook the narrator, Nasim Pedrad, gives Jolene's dad an Iranian accent, so I think we're supposed to assume he's also from Iran unless that was a mistake on her end.
