Can someone kinda explain this series to me?.I think i want to read it but i'm not sure.

Richard It is a dystopian post-apocalypse story. Think 1984 meets Logan's Run for the Selfie generation.

The story centres around Tally who is on the verge of鈥辞谤别It is a dystopian post-apocalypse story. Think 1984 meets Logan's Run for the Selfie generation.

The story centres around Tally who is on the verge of her 16th birthday when she will be made 'pretty'. The 'pretty' operation is a sort of 'all over' plastic surgery where you can choose what you will look like.

The dystopian aspects come from the fact that there is a dark aspect to the pretty-ing operation.

The writing is quite pacy and the characters are believable and well rounded. Some of the moralistic aspects are a little heavy handed and no-one will be surprised by the twists and turns of the plot, but it is a good story, well executed.(less)

I want to read this book but it seems a little over-exagerated! Would it be a suitable book for a 7th grader?
