The good thing about this book though is the series of snapshots, one every few pages or more, that takes a point mentioned in the larger narrative and dives into some greater detail about it. There are over a hundred of these as far as I can tell and they're all enjoyable. So there's details in some interesting areas, but as can be expected, he doesn't go into excessive detail as he has to cover over three thousand years of constant history. (less)
Mykola The book has a lot of footnotes and inserts. It will be difficult to navigate through them in an electronic version of the book.
