The Dome is like an Action Hollywood movie, while The Wall is like an Arthouse Film...
I enjoyed The Wall much more, because it touches deeper knots. But I think its really not for everyone. It's a very sensitive book. (less)
Aurora I think the woman doesn’t try to get out because of the deep responsibility she feels towards the animals. The animals are what keep her going, and go…m´Ç°ù±ðI think the woman doesn’t try to get out because of the deep responsibility she feels towards the animals. The animals are what keep her going, and going beyond the wall would mean leaving them behind, something she would never do. Besides that, all her time and energy goes into taking care of herself and the animals, making sure they have enough food, etc. which leaves very little time to explore the wall.

As for her assumption that everyone else is dead, throughout the entirety of the book she never sees any signs of life outside the wall. At some point, she mentions not seeing any airplanes, which for her confirms her assumption everyone outside is dead. We don’t know if this is true, but for her, it definitely is. Even if there were people alive somewhere outside the wall, the woman doesn’t know that, and it doesn’t change her situation, so they might as well be dead.(less)
