How familiar with the original film should one be before reading this book? I've seen it once, but it was a long time ago and I don't remember it too well so I'm wondering if I should watch it again first.

Cameron There is a short recap of the main events at the beginning of the book. However, I agree with the other commenter - it's heavily character driven and it works much better if you know who the characters are and what makes them tick. I watched the original movie on 4k about a month before the book arrived, and it's a far more rewarding read as result, I think.(less)

Does Heat 2 have a conclusive ending? Read somewhere that at least three novels are planned and I do not like waiting years for cliffhangers to be resolved.

BC Will P Its ending is mostly conclusive, with only a small window for additional sequels. To put it another way: if the series were to end with Heat 2, I woulâ€¦m´Ç°ù±ðIts ending is mostly conclusive, with only a small window for additional sequels. Great read...but how did Hanna go from a Det Sgt with Chicago PD and end up a Capt with RHD in LA? I must have missed the explanation?!?
