I've struggled to get to 20% read. Do I keep at it since it will get better or move on to another book as this one slowly plods on? I've read other Riley Sager books and have been all over the rating scale on them.

Kelly Desmarais I lost interest pretty far in, around page 300 and I had to force myself to finish it.

Why is this set in the 1980s? I've read the book, and I still don't know. To avoid the use of computers or audiobooks?

Keri I believe it was to keep both the past and the present out of the digital age. Nanny cams, smart phones, social media, etc- too disruptive to the stor鈥辞谤别I believe it was to keep both the past and the present out of the digital age. Nanny cams, smart phones, social media, etc- too disruptive to the story progressing as it was meant to. But also, didn't the fallout from the 1929 crash play a role in some past events as well as more old-fashioned values and gender roles. (less)
