can I start reading this series with this book instead of the previous one?

Corinne Not really. There is a bit of recap in the beginning of what happened in book 1 but it is very much a narrative continuation.

Is there going to be a major love triangle in this series?

Vanessa No, in the first two books thereis only a couple.
