Loren I think it's partly because the focus of her story isn't so much Anne and Gilbert's romance as it is Anne's adventures with the characters in Summersi…m´Ç°ù±ðI think it's partly because the focus of her story isn't so much Anne and Gilbert's romance as it is Anne's adventures with the characters in Summerside. The romance is set, the readers know it's there, there's no need to elaborate. It also is Montgomery's gentle humor and a chance to let the readers imagine the flowery, mushy stuff Anne might have written without having to wade through it. (less)
