Snow had to be left alive to reveal Coins depravity but in a way,I agree that it doesn't sit well. It was too convenient to just kill everyone off and have the deaths feel so senseless. Maybe the point is to consider the overall cruelty of humanity, the evil on both sides, the massive senseless deaths of any war or rebellion. I can accept that for its own merit and yet feel the point could have been made better, maybe without seeking so the author contrived a "gotcha" moment. Like, bet you didn't see THAT one coming. Because even so, the point could have been made with a more solidly written ending. It definitely felt like it was lacking something even though overall I enjoyed the trilogy.(less)
