Examples include a fuller account of Tuor's journey to Gondolin, a description of the island of Númenor, and a manuscript concerning the history of Gondor and Rohan. If you enjoyed the Silmarillion, you would probably enjoy this.(less)

Since the story is long, Christopher Tolkien did not choose to present all of it in Unfinished Tales.(less)
