He self-mutilates himself and disregards the health of his best f…m´Ç°ù±ðThat the author would have benefited from the perspective of Ayn Randian philosophy. He self-mutilates himself and disregards the health of his best friend, the sparrow that dies from the cold, only to give what makes him special to those who don't appreciate it (the writer who thinks it is not a gift but product of his talent, or the child-beating father).

There is absolutely a place for mutually-beneficial self-sacrifice and charity, but harming yourself to temporarily help others without increasing the total-sum of goodness in the world is of debatable morality.(less)
