and that's a wrap on season 1 and the jeju island arc skdgks that was literally so epic and fantastic i will never stop obsessing over the story, characters, and world it's all god tier🫶🫶
the amount of amazing scenes??? i keep repeating this but truly im in love with jin-woo and his character
poor jin-woo is about to deal with a whole lot of chaos now that his fight on jeju island was broadcasted to the whole world😭 (also who were those two at the end???? and they mentioned why is "he" helping the humans hmmm (other guy looked like jin-woo's father but now im forgetting how he looked like LOL so i could be mixing up ppl) oh and i need hwang dong su DEAD please??
but anyways season 2 sounds like it's going to be amazing and i'm going to hold myself back AT LEAST for a day before i start (because really i dont think i could myself back longer) since uni exists and ive been neglecting it maybe just a bit🫠 JIN-WOO MY LOVE WE WILL BE REUNITED🫶
this is no doubt going to be my favourite manhwa of all time with tower of god (perhaps even better???) + this little image at the end of the panel for s1 completion is SO CUTE AHHH chibi jin-woo with his fav shadows🥹🥹

Aaaaa ”Eݰᴡҷ got so excited when sung Jin said that .. he’s about to join the battttttle!!!!!
This volume was as exciting as expected. Actually MORE than expected
⚠️ʰ鳧⚠️ My thoughts are gonna be lack luster cuz I took a nap after reading 😂😂
The scenes of the blue orcs in school I think was the most horrific for me, yes even more than the beheading in Jeju island .
Just the imagery of bloodied young students who have no chance of survival scared me a lil 😂😂
I actually was hoping for sung Jin sister to be there cuz I was sure she had her shadow monsters to protect her, AND SHE DID.
The part where they were trying to name the new guild was hilarious, he seriously was one gonna name it “solo player.
Another funny thing that I love is the shadow monsters expressions. Like when they got out of the gate that Sung Jin entered a gate without the minimum squad number required because he counts as a full squad. Anyways THAT scene, at the end this giant shadow came carrying the corpse out of the gate and the press cameras were taking so many pics of him (it?) and he stood there with an awkward expression 😂😂
About the not funny scenes , THE GUY THAT WAS GONNA RETIRE TO BE A TEACHER , DIED that was sad
I love this series so much. Jinwoo is the king of being OP. The Jeju Island raid is over, and my favorite side character has finally joined the cast. Welcome Beru! I can’t wait to see the next part of the story published. It’s going to be so much fun.
Sung Jinwoo so demure, so mindful, so cutesy. 😍😂
No, but seriously I loved this volume. The character depth we are getting to witness is spectacular. The mystery revolving around his “reawakening is getting revealed little by little and I love that. It is no fun when the mystery is revealed all at once and suddenly.
As I predicted in my review for last volume, the creators just do the same old plot again, with the god-like Jinwoo Sung coming to the rescue of some monster hunters who have gotten in over their heads.
And yet, somehow, I enjoyed myself watching the action unfold in its predictable way. There were just enough cool moments and little surprises to give the whole thing a little zing. Still I'm annoyed that the cast keeps growing, but none of the new characters have more than one-note personalities.
Reading this is really just like watching over someone's shoulder as they play a video game.
Daiiii!!!! Bello. Bello. Bello!
After it was revealed that the colony had their ace ant and it can consistently WRECK S-ranks, Jinwoo had a tough time defeating quick deadly buggy. Thankfully him & his shadow minions take care of that challenge and the swarm but not before all of Korea and the Hunter WORLD learns of just how skilled and crazy-powerful he is (with the exception of one particular ability). So much so that when the Americans try to recruit him with promises of boosting his power further, he lets their mage TRY to buff him, but the System in place already does better so he politely turns them down. Further unknown forces continue to muck about tho so nobody can really take a break...
DUN DUN DUNNNNN. This one was full of conflict. Although I’m a little scared for Jinwoo now. For many reasons. So many characters died. They weren’t even the ones I disliked. They were the few I liked. Mostly
Re-read. The final day of the year was spent binge reading SA, then watching the anime, whilst playing the game. This time read on the desktop. Some of these are cool to read double spread, there's minimum white space and the art is beautiful. I didn't notice on the kindle. Others are done as manga, which is a pain to read on the desktop since they don't line up. Still a great series.

Fun. Fun. Fun. Can't wait for the next one. Beru vs Jinwoo. It's a little sad so many died when they didn't need to if he'd been there at the start. Still that's the way to show strength, let the strong ones lose before the main character steps in. I liked the mage so his death was gutting. Saying that, bring on Beru and his love for historical dramas.

First Read: I am unwell. It’s 3:30am and I can’t stop! The Jeju Island Arc had me picking my jaw up off the floor. I just love a well timed “oh shit moment. And that’s precisely what happened when Jinwoo arrived and specifically when he took the first hit and didn’t even flinch. Jinwoo against the King Ant was probably one of my favourite one on one battles so far, if not my favourite. Just sublime!
Second Read: Bow down to the king for real. Jinwoo i mean. BERUUU my baby! I literally love him. Beru and Igris are my favourites. Igris is literally the definition of silent but deadly and Beru just has so much character even though he’s only been featured for a few chapters.

Solo Leveling continues to impress, with our main hero taking on the Ant King. The opening is cold, with the Ant King going after one of the strongest as well as a bunch of other strong fighters and just fucking them up. It's brutal. However, when our hero arrives things go a different way. The strength counter is fun, even if our main hero is extremely OP but it looks like he's becoming more and more evil the further he goes down this path. Should be interesting to see how it all turns out.
This was epic! Loved it so much that I devoured it immediately. :) Even though quite a few things get resolved in this one, there are new questions popping up everywhere. Cannot wait for Jinwoo's further journey - and hopefully I don't have to wait all that long.
It keeps shocking me with the brutality and loss. I like that it is genuine and takes into account the devastating quality of having the hunter job in this world. I love cheering for Jinwoo. I'm glad he's getting some spotlight.
There’s a certain point in a story where an overpowered protagonist should, by all logic, start feeling about as thrilling as watching paint dry. And yet, Solo Leveling, somehow manages to keep the excitement alive at this point, which is either a testament to Chugong’s storytelling or a particularly well-cast literary illusion spell. Because despite Jinwoo being absurdly strong, I’m still completely invested in how this arc plays out.
I’ve said this before, I can’t help but notice something very familiar about this arc. So familiar, in fact, that if you squint a little, it starts looking like it walked straight out of Hunter x Hunter’s Chimera Ant Arc wearing a slightly different hat. The whole “monstrous ants absorbing the abilities of their victims thing is also suspiciously similar. And while I don’t mind a bit of inspiration (because let’s be honest, everyone borrows from somewhere), if you’re going to borrow from one of the best arcs in Shonen history, you should at least aim to do it better. Or, at the very least, differently.
Jinwoo is still as ridiculously capable as ever. The supporting cast also managed to hold their own. And I appreciate that the story isn’t pretending Jinwoo’s delayed arrival to the battlefield was anything but disastrous. Because let’s face it, a lot of people didn’t need to die if he had just shown up sooner. A rare bit of in-world accountability that I respect.
The live broadcast of the entire operation is still absolutely ridiculous to me too. I get that it was probably inserted so Jinwoo’s world-shattering power could be displayed on an international level, but logistically speaking, it’s right up there with villains explaining their entire master plan while the hero slowly unties themselves from the chair. But hey, at this point, I’ve learned to roll with the absurdity.
New characters are stepping into the story, and I’m still curious to see where it all leads next. I just hope the next arc finds its own rhythm rather than borrowing another franchise’s greatest hits. And with the anime adaptation, I can't wait to see all this action come to life on screen!
Oh yes he beat that ant ass up, as expected. 🙏 The ant raid was really cool but it was kinda annoying how all of these S-ranks were getting their asses beat until Jinwoo showed up out of nowhere to save the day.
He's really cool though, like you can't get any cooler than him I believe.
Then ofc we get introduced to MORE characters and I'm kinda just more tired of it than I already was. I feel like this writer just likes introducing people and new faces??
Instead of having an important cast of characters the entire time we meet them when the story calls for it and then don't see them anymore when it doesn't. I have no connection to any of these characters and neither does Jinwoo. They are all so one dimensional with no personality to be seen. I love a good relationship between characters so it's definitely a weak point this entire series how shallow everything is.
The way the entire raid was getting wiped but Cha ends up super injured and needing saving like wow... thanks. It doesn't even make sense to me why Jinwoo was so concerned about her too like they don't even know each other?? I really don't want to see this writer try to write romance tbh when he can't write women (or any character really) for shit lmao.
There's always random characters doing something that doesn't make any sense, I guess for the ✨mystery of it that will be revealed later which is so tiring because whomst???
And oh my god what is with all the different countries now. Who tf invited the Americans. 💀
Nonetheless, I still really enjoy this series and my boy Jinwoo is king. 🫶
