For over three decades, John Kehoe has earned worldwide recognition for his pioneering work in the field of Mind Power. He is a warm and energetic teacher, author, socially conscious individual, and proponent of the amazing human potential to transform the world and our lives with our thoughts.
John has lectured on every continent and his seminal book, Mind Power Into the 21st Century, has topped bestseller lists in over a dozen countries. His teachings relate directly to the powers held within every person to conclusively shape his or her destiny.
In 1975, John Kehoe withdrew to the wooded seclusion of the British Columbia wilderness to spend three years in intensive study and contemplation of the inner workings of the human mind. During this time, Kehoe forged the first straightforward and successful program for developing Mind Power. In 1978, he began traveling and teaching people the principals he had formulated, and the phenomenal success of his speaking tours soon grew to literally encompass the world.
Mind Power Into the 21st Century has sold millions of copies, and has become an international bestseller, translated and published in a multitude of languages including, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Italian, and Serbian. John has also written five other books, Money Success & You, A Vision of Power and Glory, The Practice of Happiness, Mind Power for Children and Quantum Warrior The Future Of the Mind.
The first time I read this book in 2000 it blew my mind. I wish there were seven starts available. Five just doesn't do it. I have given this book to my son's and daughters. This is the one book that literally changed my life.
Introduction Mind Power in 21st century is a book focuses on achieving success with the power of mind i.e (visualization, Self-hypnosis, Programming-brain) etc.
Genre Self-help
Pros 1. Programming brain is a real phenomenon coherent with the recent studies. 2. John Kehoe took self-hypnosis to another level which helps to become a better person. 3. Visualization techniques used in the chapters look absurd but if practiced are a real entity. 4. Prosperity Consciousness chapter is well established and described to practice which we all don't possess i.e we possess scarcity consciousness. 5. It helps us to better understand Religion. 6. Self-Image chapter is also well described and if practiced helps to make it better. 7. Acknowledging positive statements are the best part of the book. Mind does not accept "No" so it omits it and replaces the statement opposite to we were affirming. 8. This book helps in repairing and maintaining good relationships as well.
Cons 1. In chapter Dreams, John Kehoe discussed power of dreams that how successful people solved their problems through their dreams. I did not find it synchronized with the recent research so I found it absurd. 2. At some points, John used the word successful in line with the man who makes the more money. Mind power did not originate to earn money but for the peace of mind. 3. In Training for Magnificent payoff chapter, he discussed how to get the person you love with the power of visualization which in real does not exist because of the lack of power a common man possesses. 4. Sometimes John hurried towards concluding chapter which did not help the readers to contemplate and make points for training themselves. 5. John Kehoe did not discuss subconsciousness in detail which he must have.
Conclusion If you want to repair relationships, direct your energies towards positive events, feel good about even if something goes against you, if you feel self-pity, if you've UN-censored thoughts in your mind which should be channeled for productivity, this book is for you. We cannot achieve all of the things mentioned in this book with the power of mind, but we can achieve many of them.
I've listened to John Kehoe's audio lectures and loved them. Super helpful and inspirational. I've used a number of his techniques to develop and improve myself. I've even recommended him to friends. I liked this book too. I felt it repeated a lot of what I've heard of his before, but it was a nice review. Recently I've been reading/listening to Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich and now I see the major source for John Kehoe's work. A little disappointing, but I think John's distilled delivery is a good introduction to NH's stuff.
couldn't finish this book. Author repeats that no need to do anything in order to get what you want, it's enough just to want it and think about it. I Believe it motivates a lot of people in their laziness. Also author doesn't provide any scientific arguments only "example from real life"..
It was an alright book. Can't say it shook me as I have, in the past, heard about different experiments like these and while I do, to some extent, believe in the power of the positive thinking I remain skeptical of the cancer treating cases that were deceived in the book
