From the gutter to the stars

Dance is in my blood.
Once upon a time it ran through their veins too. Xeno, York, Zayn, and Dax.
The Breakers and I were a crew until bad decisions and circumstance ripped us apart.
Now the Breakers are back.
And they’ve brought trouble.
They’re not here at the Stardom Academy to dance.
They’re here on a mission for Jeb, the leader of the Skins.
He wants something, and me? I’m just a pawn in their game.
To make matters worse, my psychotic brother wants something too.
I must befriend the Breakers and find out what they’re up to.
If I refuse, my brother will hurt the one person I love more than life itself.
I cannot allow that to happen.
Dance was always the cure to our pain, the foundations of our friendship and love.
It brought us together once before.
Can I go through the cycle of friendship, love, and heartache all over again?
Will I survive the Breakers a second time? Will they survive me?

**Lyrical is book two of this new gritty, contemporary reverse harem academy trilogy for 17+ readers and deals with adult themes and some subjects you may find upsetting. If you love dance, your men on the criminal side, alpha hot holes, and the friends-to-enemies-to-lovers trope, this is for you. Contains foul language and sexual scenes and ends on a cliff hanger.**

Freestyle was the kind of story you remember what you were doing, where you were, when you first read it. A story that strikes you- with its creativity, with its novel point of view, with its passion. So, Lyrical had a lot to live up to, and a lot to address, but WOW, boy does Bea ever rise to the challenge. Lyrical is an expressive opus- a story about the power of emotional vulnerability and connection-even if you channel that energy in a way that not everyone can understand.

Our story picks up after that soul crushing finale- and we immediately learn some important truths. We learn yet again that Pen is one of the most interesting and captivating heroines of all time- we learn again to admire her strength. We learn that nothing is as it seems- and that we’ve only begun to explore how weighed down these characters are by their hurt and anger. And we learn just what role dance is going to play in this story- just how our characters are going to confront themselves and each other. And confront themselves they do. Even better, we get to spend a lot of time in the Breakers heads, and WOW- I was not ready. These men tore into my soul.

The tone and pace of Lyrical is markedly different from Freestyle- and that is because this is a story about pain, a story about the messy act of reconciliation, a story about the weight of healing. And as such, Bea brilliantly creates a story that carries that weight- there is a permeating melancholy, an emotive sentimental that threads the narrative. While we have a few snippets of jaw dropping action, for the most part, the story is more insulated- quiet and focused- and with good reason. Because Lyrical is not about defeating the bad guy, getting all the answers, or confronting the enemy- Lyrical is about confronting your own pain, facing your greatest hurts and insecurities, and finding the inner strength to work through them. And for these characters- that means finally facing each other.

Pen and the Breakers are all broken- broken by each others (especially Pen’s) innocent mistakes when they were mere kids, further broken by the destructive decisions they’ve made since- exacerbated by their own isolation. Now, they are adults trying to reconcile those mistakes with new truths- and with their conflicting emotions for each other. Their connection exists at the fragile threshold of love and hate- and Lyrical is a turning point. They can no longer exist in that place and not lose themselves- and that journey? That journey is the CORE of this story, and the core of who these characters are. Their sadness, their pain- it’s DEFINING. So smartly, Bea slows down the story, makes it more emotionally centered, and forces us to wallow in it- to get deep into the trenches of their emotional crises, because we can’t truly understand and connect with them unless we do.but even more importantly, these characters can’t understand each other and heal if they dont also SIT in it. And that narrative choice - that brave story telling when we’re surrounded by the sparkly intrigue of villains and intrigue and imminent danger- THAT is brilliant. Bea makes us wait, because she needs us to FEEL. And like the powerful grace of a lyrical dance, WE FEEL it in Lyrical.

As such, Lyrical is really a story about connection- or in this case, the weighty task of reconnecting. This is a story about the power of loyalty and love- how no evil machinations, no nefarious intentions can ever destroy that- but they can confuse it, warp it, bury it- so Pen and the Breakers, they have to dig it back out, they have to free it from under the burdens they are each carrying. And that requires the most beautiful, simple, and challenging thing- trust and honesty. Taking the leap of forgiveness. Of all the challenges that these characters have faced, all the trauma and pain they’ve endured, that is perhaps the most gutting, the most challenging of all- because the stakes matter the most. Healing requires hurting- digging into the wounds. And Bea lets that shine. Lyrical is unapologetically about the growth of these characters- the maturation of kids who make mistakes into adults who want to fix them . She allows our story to be about them working through their pain and mistrust carefully re establishing their profound connection with each other. And they find it through, of course, dance.

I will continue to scream from the rooftops that this is one of the most inspired, innovative, and creative approaches to storytelling I’ve ever read. Bea has taken a visual art form, a physical act of expression, and breathed life to it through words. The symmetry of the role of dance is not lost on me- in Freestyle we see our characters forge a powerful and life altering connection of a dance. In Lyrical, dance is the catalyst to REconnecting. In Book 1, dance almost operated as another character, a tangible presence that wrapped these characters in a warm embrace. But Bea explores dance in a different way- in a lyrical way. Here, dance serves as the emotional catalyst for every turning point in the story. Our characters grow, they hurt or heal, and our plot progresses because dance inspires it- because dance DEMANDS it. These characters struggle to express themselves in words- that's not the language they speak- so they speak in the way that only they can understand. With movement.

Like the namesake, Lyrical is an emotional purging- about the catalytic expression that will make or break the Breakers. And Bea is somehow able to capture these key emotive moments with words. This story does NOT work if we do not connect to the dance- Lyrical is told almost entirely through it. But damn, it works- somehow I can see it as if I were watching it live. But more importantly, I FEEL it. It is riveting, captivating and the mark of a truly gifted storyteller. And we aren’t the only ones who “get it- every character has at least one key dance moment, a moment of raw and unabashed expression. And that is how they are able to reconnect and heal- dance allows them to SEE each other.

The story is fluid and expressive, in the style of a lyrical dance. Lyrical is a virtuosic illustration of the beauty of emotional connection, the power and pain of honesty, of the liberation of emotional healing. Bea gives us the story interpretation of a lyrical dance- words that draw us in emotionally, that captivate, that connect us. Of course, we also get a jaw dropping conclusion that sets us up for Breakers (clearly a title that will also carry a bunch of meaning), but Lyrical does the hard and important work of making our characters, and us, ready for what is to come. And it certainly leaves our hearts swimming with feelings long after the last few words of Lyrical dance across the page. I am so ready for the finale!

Having devoured FREESTYLE a couple of days ago, I immediately had to jump straight into LYRICAL. Having not previously read many books centred around dance, I’ve found myself becoming completely immersed in the routines and performances which are described so beautifully. This experience is heightened by the insane playlist; so many songs I’ve never heard before but are so utterly perfect for the scene they are attached to.
I’m so excited about these books and adore Pen and her Breakers - Xeno, Zayn, York and Dax. This trilogy is a must for fans of Reverse Harem.

Decent follow-up but the relationship felt like it was going in a circle at times.

The things that bothered me the most in this book were

1. This book was definitely going for a dark tone and I just couldn't believe it. I just never managed to buy in to the danger of the situation. I don't think the author ever managed to pull of the dark tone. This could definitely be a me thing; maybe I've just been exposed to too many dark romances, but this just felt more childish at times, with all the swearing and over-the-top reactions, rather than dark.

2. I just could not get into the writing style. Take this quote as an example:
Her passion, her anger, her fear, her rage, it cut me deep and I’m fucking bleeding from the wounds. I’m bleeding out like a motherfucking soldier ripped apart in the crossfire of some fucking war he never wanted to be a part of.

There's so much of this language: tearing, ripping, cutting into me, making me bleed, destroying me, etc. These people are at an eleven the whole time and I found it exhausting. I also found that something were a bit overwritten. Descriptions of a kiss would go on for pages. Some people may like that but I found it excessive. The writing bordered on purple for me and I think that's part of why I didn't find the book that dark.

3. Every time I thought they were going to sit down and actually talk to each other, they just started dancing. I understand this book is about dance and some things can be communicated through dance but I could have done with a bit less communicating through dance and a bit more communicating through words. Also, if you're someone like me who doesn't really visualize while reading, the dance scenes can be a bit hard to follow and annoying to read.

I did generally like the pace of the book. I was never really bored even when I felt the plot was moving in circles. This is an over-the-top story so there is always something to entertain you. I appreciated how central dancing was to the plot. Sometimes those elements in an RH can be pushed to the side so I appreciate that didn't happen here. I also think the author does a good job giving each of the guys a distinct personality and not having one guy dominate the relationship (I do still think their names are a bit silly though).

There is a massive cliffhanger to end this book but now that all of the books are out, this doesn't bother me so much because I can just read the next one. I did like this enough to continue with the series and I generally think this is a decent romance, there are just a few things that personally bother me.

This second book managed to continue the momentum and I enjoyed it equally as much as its predecessor. The first book was fairly slow-burn expertly building the tension and though we aren't quite there yet and Xeno took until the bitter end to get with the program it's looking like all of Pen's Breakers may finally be on the same page. Despite that dramatic finale I have faith in Xeno to stand with his chosen family whatever was going on when this all concluded.

So in this second book, the men were like dominoes some succumbing to team Pen much swifter than others. First Zayn followed by York, Dax was much more stubborn and Xeno well he held his nerve till the final few pages.

The heat was higher here and it was delicious, so much chemistry and potential waiting to explode off the page. Pen finally comes clean about everything she's been hiding and she also finds a friend in an unlikely place. There's still a lot unsaid here, secrets mostly being kept by the Breakers, but I'm optimistic we will discover more in the next book and I've got a feeling the danger is only going to intensify.

I'm enjoying this series a whole lot and it's delivering on its initial promise. It's well written and extremely emotive and the chemistry between Pen and her Breakers is increasing with each book.

Review for Freestyle (book 1) and Lyrical (book 2)

This was honestly fucking amazing. It's RH, with gangster elements and ofc dancing. The dance element is heavy on this series and I loved every single moment of it. The author just did a fantastic job at describing everything. Every move and step was just full of emotions and it just tugged at your heart.

A heartbreaking and emotional story. It just makes you feel so many emotions all at once. They went from friends-"lovers"- enemies-lovers and we get to see the transition through every phase and it's just phenomenal.

I myself am not a dancer in any sense of the word. Like I literally have two left feet which is embarrassing bc am Hispanic and we are known for knowing our way around the dance floor but not dear old me 😒😒 However, this book just made everything flow easiy and it was understandable. Also, the music playlists are 🔥🔥

January has been a shitty reading month and this helped a little but I know if I had been in a better reading mood I would have like it soo much more. So sorry Paige for that. But a 4 star average is still good!

This series reminded me a lot of the Step Up movies which I fucking adore

I thought book 1 was cringey, this one is 10 times worse omg.

The random “I’ll tell you the truth or “this is what im feeling dance breaks were so random. Like i get that you can portray emotion and everything with dance but what y’all need is to TALK.

Like i love tate mcrae and her music but the ‘you broke me first scene was so cringey i think i died. Bro really danced and when main girly was leaving he looked at her and told her

“🥺you broke me first😤😕

BRUHHHHHHHH

Also

The main girly has kept this “big secret and her “betrayal hidden from all the guys for TWO MF BOOKS, and its just the most simple thing ever, like what’s gonna happen if you tell them??? They work for a dancing gang not the russian mob 🙄💅🏻

I thought i could get through the other two books but i dont think im strong enough 😔💪🏻🥶💔

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK LYRICAL BY BEA PAIGE.

I was waiting desperately for this book to drop in my kindle. The cliffhanger in the last book blew my mind off and from that, I could guess that this book will have a banging start.

I was not disappointed at all. It was so much that I was expecting.
I was overwhelmed from the start, the heartbreak, the betrayal, the sacrifice for love.

Freestyle couldn't have been more perfect but this book was more than perfection.
A sequel to leave you squealing for m*ore, there were so m*any jaw-dropping moments in this book.

Lastly, this dancing romance is a m*ust read for all angst masochist book lover like me.
Believe me, the pain doesn't get any better than this.

Oh man, this book was worth the wait! It was everything I had hoped book 2 would be... and it exceeded that! After the cliffy in book 1 the bar was set high. It started out with a bang and never really lost any steam. Book one focused more on the "bullying" where as book 2 focused on the feelings.

It's squeezes your heart and makes you feel everything. All the good, the bad, the pain, the hurt, the lust, the desperation, the love and the hate.
Each character danced their feelings perfectly. They were able to impact you by the moves they made with their bodies. You could FEEL everything. This author was able to portray the art of dance in word form. Truly mesmerizing.

I loved all of Pen's interactions with her Breakers. They each had a story that needed to be told. My heart broke from all of them. So much hidden, so many secrets. I loved that we saw POVs from them all. It made you connect and feel for the character more.

I sure hope that Grim continues to be an ally for Pen as she desperately needs one. Beast, Clancy and River were great added characters to this story.

That ending..... OH MY! I can't take it! I need to know what happens, like now!

I have so many emotions running through my heart right now.

That cliffy tho 🤭🤭

I love all the boys now!! Xeno was a prick throughout most of this book but I think I’m gonna love him.

I’m so happy that Pen has found the strength to open up, bless her. Wish I could give her a hug🥺

Can I just say.. I LOVE Clancy so much!! She’s such a good bestfriend and I love her personality. I hope she gets her own book.

When they all dance out their emotions I either laugh or cringe😭 like when they are in a serious or heated argument and one of them bursts out into a dance. I feel like I’m reading high school musical and it cracks me up. I know it’s how they express their feelings but still Phahahha.

I just wrote a series review and copied it to book 2 too 5.

BASIC FACTS: Academy of Stardom, 5 books finished series
Titles & no. of Pages:
1. Freestyle 362 pages
2. Lyrical 398 pages
3. Breakeres 434 pages
4. Finale 444 pages
5. Encore 324 pages
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Dance Academy, organized crime (Gangs)
Theme: From the gutter to the stars
Protagonist Ages: not sure, but I think around 20
Pacing: Plot: medium Relationship: slow burn
Plot Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recommend the series, if you like dance, Gangs and enemies to lovers with bullying. I got it recommended myself by my gr friend Gaby (we miss you!). It was on my tbr because the series wasn’t finished at that time. I decided to throw it on my clear your tbr list, for a challenge. After starting Freestyle I was hooked. Because this series reminded me a little of Hanaford Prep and crossed with The Hights Crew. The story was simple but had a good pace and a lot of unexpected turns.

I love Pen and her guys. my favorite Guy is Beast, who likes Pen and he looks after her, when she is working in the club. I like Grim, because she becomes Pen’s alley when Pen needed her. And later she is Pen’s friend.

Fun Fact: Bea wrote a Their Obsession Series and a Series about the Deana-dhe (which means Butterflys). And they are either mentioned or have a cameo. There is also a Series called the Freed Brothers, which play a role in this book too.

Back to the series: Recently the book Encore was published. The fifth book of Academy of Stardom is kind of a cross over and play five years after Finale. It was nice to see how Pen’s family grew. We had a lot of smut and dance. Saw the Why choose and other couples again. But for me this was the weakest book and it’s the only one which got 3 stars rating from me. I read it, skipped a lot and read some more. But if you wouldn’t read it, the series could have finished after book 4.

I partly read the books and partly listend to the audiobook. I liked both. Lately I enjoy audiobooks a lot. I binged the series and had a great time.

Characters and Summery: spoilers ahead!!!

Lyrical is book two in the Academy of Stardom. This is an interconnected series and must be read in order as the characters and the plot continue throughout the series.

Things have always been tough for Pen but she has had one constant release in Dance. Each time things in her life seem to be lining up something goes wrong that blows everything up.

This one really shows Pen's strength. Right from the beginning of the book, she is confronted with an impossible situation. Instead of taking it laying down she rises up against the risks and shows her spirit and determination. We also get more of a feel for the guys, but Pen is the standout for me.

Looking forward to seeing the end of the series.

FOUR 'Someone-remove-the-stick-from-Xeno's-arse-please' STARS!

This book was just as great as the last, yet somehow so different and I enjoyed it despite the few problems I found this time.

So, we begin this book where we left of, with Pen in a god-awful situation, tied up in a web of lies, confusion and, well, illegal shit. This fully gripped me from the start as I was still expecting Pen to have to stick up for herself against the guys (something I really enjoyed in the last book), yet that didn't happen.

In this book, the guys (save Xeno and Dax for a little while) seemed to do a full 180 in their grudge toward Pen. Now, I didn't exactly dislike this, but...I wasn't impressed, really. If they had spent some of the book giving the reader some hope of them letting Pen in, that would have been fine, but they didn't. At the end of the last book, they hated Pen, without any forgiveness in sight, yet in this it all seemed to happen so quickly. Wasn't the biggest fan of that, to be honest.
I only have one more problem and that was the fact that a question I often had to ask myself while reading was 'These guys do know that words exist, right?" Now, don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware that this is a book centred around dance - I know - but did they have to tell each other EVERYTHING through dance? They hardly ever spoke about their feelings and I refuse to believe that they can clear the air like that just by stomping on the floor a little harder.

On a better note, I loved the characters. They weren't like they were when they were kids but I still loved them. Each of them had such amazing chemistry with Pen. You could literally feel it coming off of the pages!
I have to admit that this author has a certain talent for making likeable characters, even when they're being complete dicks. To be fully honest, I'm really not a fan of bully books, despite loving angst, which might sound a bit contradictory. There are some I like, where most of them I just get annoyed by - I've never really gotten the hype around them. But, here, I loved them all. I understood all of their motives and it was easy to see past the anger and into the hurt that they're truly acting on. The characters really do shine in this book.
I love Beast. I love that he's just a casual, platonic friend who happens to have two completely different personalities. And Grim is such a bad bitch, couldn't have picked a better 'friend?' for Pen.
Speaking of Pen's friends, I need to move onto Clancy...I really didn't like how she was portrayed throughout this, unlike the last book. She seemed to just be an unnecessary character in this which was annoying because I loved her in the last book..but you can't have it all, can ya?
Lets leave this on a great note...The smut. Wow. We didn't get to see much in the last book and I'm glad for it, but this definitely dishes it out enough to keep it steamy, yet doesn't take from the story.

Anyway, I really recommend you go read this, its another great addition to this book and I'll be waiting (Im)patiently for the next.

There is no secret that I enjoy Paige's words. I have followed her journey from her early days to now where she found her grove with the dark and gritty RH that is unafraid to go there. Lyrical is the second book in this complex academy series that takes the dance world by storm.
After the events of Freestyle, there was a lot unsaid. Pen was determined to still press on with finding a way back into the lives of her guys. It not easy given the looks and moves the boys have made to make Pen feel the way she is feeling.
These boys are there for one and another and Pen is the interloper trying to regain the trust she had with them is hard given that she still hiding her secret and trying to protect everyone . In this seedy world she should be looking out for her own interests but she can't help be drawn in by her guys.
Their connection is something that isn't tangible . No matter what they try, they flock to each other even though the truth hasn't been revealed. There is signs though that the redemption of Pen is coming. The guys are starting to break and the wounds are becoming smaller. However it’s not an easy ride in this second instalment and dance does the talking that sometimes words can not reveal.
Taking to streets and some familiar places, Lyrical opens the eyes of the characters and readers alike. We get a deeper picture of the world of the Breakers and what’s lurking underneath everything.

Sharing a common world with previous series means these guys are adding addition layers of richness to the seedy world we know and love. Pen and her Breakers are devastating as ever and I don't know if I can hold together to wait for the next book. As this book brought all the hidden feelings out from the guys and it was blood bath literally. There was plenty of pain and I couldn't image to be in Pen's shoes. She had it pouring all out on her and the results weren't always pleasant. Those moments really made the book for what it is. And left me the way I am now ,aware of the magic and trying to process what just happened.

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG:

'Lyrical' is the second book of the 'Academy Of Stardom' series by Bea Paige. After that mind blowing cliffhanger at the end of 'Freestyle' , I would have done literally anything to get my hands on this book!

This book continues off right where the first one ended and It was much more angsty than the first book too. The breakers have now realised that things are not as simple as they seem. That their Pen might have betrayed them , but she broke herself in doing that.

Pen on the other hand is sort of done with them. She wants to tell them the truth but the danger of it forces her to keep her mouth shut. So she stays quite. She lets them think that she betrayed them , all the while being broken by their hate.

Web-Photo-Editor I push the boundaries, I do it for her, for Titch. My girl. Our girl. I rip open my fucking chest and let her see the mess she made of my heart.

This book was definitely much more complex than the first book. The first book mostly consisted of scenes of the past whereas this one focused on the present. Some of the breakers have given to their attraction to Pen. They want their girl back and would do anything to get her back! Xeno is definitely the hardest nut to crack! The hate he held in his eyes for pen , even made me shiver! He was definitely the most complicated character and I couldn't wait to read more of him!!

A highly recommended read to all the Bully Reverse Harem lovers out there!! This is a high school Romance with dark themes that gave me all the damn feels!

So this one was a lil boring for me, but it wasn’t bad. I felt like the relationship between Pen and the breakers was going in circles for most of the book. That was a little annoying to me but wtv.

Some parts of the book were very cringe to me. I literally made this face: 😬. I didn’t like this one as much as the first one, but it wasn’t bad.

(Btw I did kinda like it. It’s just that while I was reading I was not as thrilled and excited as I was with the first book.)

The ending was definitely not boring. I did like the last part. Now I wanna know what happens next with Pen and her breakers. Imma go and read the third book now. Bye bye!

This series is soooo good wtf. When I first started I had no idea it was gonna be a mafia/dark-ish romance but, oh lord, that side of things makes everything even grittier, and more exciting. I love how the plot is thickening and so many things are unraveling from it.

I absolutely loved watching all these characters find their way back to each other. It was so emotional, yet fascinating, exciting, and steamy. Seeing how these characters all fit together like the missing pieces of a puzzle, lord. Their story is incredible, beautiful, and star-crossed lover's magic.

I don't have words...I've been waiting for this book to drop on Kindle ever since I finished reading Freestyle almost 2 weeks ago..and well being the miserable person I am, I decided to read the reviews here to appease myself. I read stuff about people being annoyed with Xeno and I was shaking till the end..I kept hoping "Xeno..please don't fuck things up!!" And well let's say he did exactly that..well he did fuck things up but not to hurt Pen..as long as that's how this book ended.. I'm more than ready to wait till January for Breakers to come out!

This book was damn personal in a way that I could feel the pain that was being written about..the pain over love, loss, hurt, betrayal etc. Bea Paige surprised me with the intro scene at the club. I was shocked with the way she abruptly ended Freestyle but damn..she knocked my expectations out of the ballpark!

That dance..the first scene..the way she wrote it..Bea Paige mentioned that it took her a long time to write that part..and reading it was so worth it..caught me focussed..like it's been awhile when a book from a series captured my attention with a tight hold from page 1! I was waiting for shit to start flying during that scene but thankfully, nothing happened!

It was also frustrating reading this book. I knew the author wanted to keep the reveal, about why Pen did what she did to the guys, towards the end but I really wanted her to explain it to the guys halfway through! Everyone was just getting hurt and upset and expressing their feelings and thoughts only through dance, whenever someone wanted the truth, and although those scenes were well written..the 'peacemaker' in me wanted to call TIME OUT on all their asses and make Pen confess!!

I'm also not complaining about the limited sexual scenes..it was just enough..and at the right places.. especially the scenes with York and Dax! When they came together through their only medium of communication.. dancing..damn it felt like mini fireworks bursting everywhere! I'm glad Dax was her first..it seemed well thought of! Just right.

And based on what others wrote about Xeno..well I can't blame him for the way he reacted..he got his heart broken hard by the girl he loved..even after he foresaw that a relationship with everyone wouldn't work..and then slowly his friends are going back to Pen instead of holding onto that hurt and pain..it's almost like he's confused.. he's scared to go forward probably because he was hurt so damn bad and he's also feeling a pull towards Pen. To be honest his reaction felt the most sense to me because I saw a lot of myself in Xeno.

Hats off to the author for making an even better sequel to Freestyle! And well..I can't wait for Breakers. I guess I'll just go back to Freestyle and Lyrical during this long waiting period! Ciao!

(For optimum reading quality, listen to the songs the author mentions during different scenes of the book..the effect is ~magical~ !)

This is the second book in what was supposed to be a trilogy but there is 4 books out in the series. We continue right where book 1 ended. This book has a whole new vibe. Where book one was strictly from Pen's POV, we now get all the guys thoughts too. I found this to be a great addition to the story, actually it probably saved it for me. I found myself skimming the dance details this time. As much as I enjoy the dance theme, everytime one of the MCs dance the description is quite long. I can appreciate how hard it must be to explain a dance, but not only do we get intricate step details, but everything they are feeling too for each move. This becomes redundant as it is the main way they are all expressing their feelings.
Other than that, not much seems to be happening. We slowly get to see a reconciliation between Pen and a few of the guys, until the very end of the book, where she finally comes clean. Then we get the dreaded cliffhanger.
I will continue to book 3, despite everything I wrote, it is still a good story and I want to know what happens to these characters that I fell in love with in book 1.
