Decent follow-up but the relationship felt like it was going in a circle at times.
The things that bothered me the most in this book were
1. This book was definitely going for a dark tone and I just couldn't believe it. I just never managed to buy in to the danger of the situation. I don't think the author ever managed to pull of the dark tone. This could definitely be a me thing; maybe I've just been exposed to too many dark romances, but this just felt more childish at times, with all the swearing and over-the-top reactions, rather than dark.
2. I just could not get into the writing style. Take this quote as an example:
There's so much of this language: tearing, ripping, cutting into me, making me bleed, destroying me, etc. These people are at an eleven the whole time and I found it exhausting. I also found that something were a bit overwritten. Descriptions of a kiss would go on for pages. Some people may like that but I found it excessive. The writing bordered on purple for me and I think that's part of why I didn't find the book that dark.
3. Every time I thought they were going to sit down and actually talk to each other, they just started dancing. I understand this book is about dance and some things can be communicated through dance but I could have done with a bit less communicating through dance and a bit more communicating through words. Also, if you're someone like me who doesn't really visualize while reading, the dance scenes can be a bit hard to follow and annoying to read.
I did generally like the pace of the book. I was never really bored even when I felt the plot was moving in circles. This is an over-the-top story so there is always something to entertain you. I appreciated how central dancing was to the plot. Sometimes those elements in an RH can be pushed to the side so I appreciate that didn't happen here. I also think the author does a good job giving each of the guys a distinct personality and not having one guy dominate the relationship (I do still think their names are a bit silly though).
There is a massive cliffhanger to end this book but now that all of the books are out, this doesn't bother me so much because I can just read the next one. I did like this enough to continue with the series and I generally think this is a decent romance, there are just a few things that personally bother me.

Her passion, her anger, her fear, her rage, it cut me deep and I’m fucking bleeding from the wounds. I’m bleeding out like a motherfucking soldier ripped apart in the crossfire of some fucking war he never wanted to be a part of.

Finished Reading
There was a serious lack of communication and I wouldn’t be able to differentiate this book from the others in the series as they all felt mostly the same.
It’s a shame cause the actual plot I could’ve really enjoyed, but I just forced myself to finish the series because I’d started it.
