Lyrical (Academy of Stardom, #2)

There is no secret that I enjoy Paige's words. I have followed her journey from her early days to now where she found her grove with the dark and gritty RH that is unafraid to go there. Lyrical is the second book in this complex academy series that takes the dance world by storm.
After the events of Freestyle, there was a lot unsaid. Pen was determined to still press on with finding a way back into the lives of her guys. It not easy given the looks and moves the boys have made to make Pen feel the way she is feeling.
These boys are there for one and another and Pen is the interloper trying to regain the trust she had with them is hard given that she still hiding her secret and trying to protect everyone . In this seedy world she should be looking out for her own interests but she can't help be drawn in by her guys.
Their connection is something that isn't tangible . No matter what they try, they flock to each other even though the truth hasn't been revealed. There is signs though that the redemption of Pen is coming. The guys are starting to break and the wounds are becoming smaller. However it’s not an easy ride in this second instalment and dance does the talking that sometimes words can not reveal.
Taking to streets and some familiar places, Lyrical opens the eyes of the characters and readers alike. We get a deeper picture of the world of the Breakers and what’s lurking underneath everything.
Sharing a common world with previous series means these guys are adding addition layers of richness to the seedy world we know and love. Pen and her Breakers are devastating as ever and I don't know if I can hold together to wait for the next book. As this book brought all the hidden feelings out from the guys and it was blood bath literally. There was plenty of pain and I couldn't image to be in Pen's shoes. She had it pouring all out on her and the results weren't always pleasant. Those moments really made the book for what it is. And left me the way I am now ,aware of the magic and trying to process what just happened.
