Yes! I think Bree is in love with the idea of Nick she made herself at the beginning of the story. Remember she started having feelings before she even became a Page, she had talked to Nick like two times before that. And Sel is definitely crushing on Bree, but unlike Nick, I think he is willing to put his duty first since, and here I’m speculating based on his interactions with Bree, he doesn’t believe he deserves the love she could give him.
YES! To the Sel thing AND relating Nick. He, as an only child who was first tortured (because let’s admit facts, that kind of training was not suited for an eight-year-old), and then spoiled to the degree where he could drop out of a full organization without much repercussions. He was also jealous of Sel, who did absolutely nothing wrong and only did as told, and then he took that jealousy and applied it to everything related to Sel. His mother’s situation didn’t help matters at all, of course. I think those events lead him to be overprotective, possessive, and overall used to getting things his way. He doesn’t listen to reason (like when he outright tells Bree to shut it about Sel) and loses it when Sel is concerned. I don’t think Bree sees the extent of his behavior, of course, since she is so enamored with the image she created of Nick.
Alice will hear about this toxicity and will tell her ‘or you dump him, or I’ll dump him for you. The only drama I see Sel and Bree having is the Regents being all purists because a Merlín cannot have a child with a Scion because then the Scion’s line would be lost given Merlin’s dominant genes. And they’ll definitely fight it if it ever comes. If push comes to shove, Bree can pull an ‘I’m Arthur Pendragon’s Scion, you will leave me alone. The only other conflict I can find is if Nick decided he’s a sore loser and doesn’t want to share, which would be troubling for Sel because he’s still tied to him with an Oath, even if technically he should have been Bree’s Kingsmage all along. I still think they’ll get through it because they communicate, unlike OTHER people I know.
I’m thinking along those same lines. If the Kingsmage is supposed to be Oathed to Arthur's Scion, then it shouldn’t be hard to break his Oath to Nick and go with Bree instead, if only for bureaucracy's sake. And then the only thing we need to wait for is for Nick and Bree’s breakup and then Sel can come and take his rightful place as Bree’s boyfriend or whatever it is we’re calling it
