Hi Octavia. Ellie's Story is really just a retelling of the life of Ellie from A Dog's Purpose, written for children. I hope you didn't find it a waste of your time! I really appreciate you reading all of my novels, did you get to Emory's Gift, yet? That was my favorite novel (of mine) until I wrote The Dog Master. -- Bruce
