I have a hard to time understanding how this can be thought of as a bad King book. It's subjective, I suppose, but I believe you would be in the significant minority of King readers with that opinion.
I have to agree with this, I loved the Mr. Mercedes, and the Outside, and 11/22/63 book. Plus the Dark Tower Series so far. But this one felt to cobbled together, overly long in the 4 year period before heading back to the "TR", and the whole killing K named people kind of Kontrived!
I have the same King likes as you, Barbara. Loved Mr. Mercedes and the Outsider but less fond of The Dark Tower stuff. Just to prove I can love creepy, I really enjoyed Pet Sematary. It pegs the Cringemeter, though!
