To be fair, MyNameIsTim DOES go into some detail in his review as to why he doesn't like the book. He makes a case that is, in fact, inaccurate. And rambling.
But I think the more interesting argument is the one Thomas brings up: are we at the brink of something or just another hiccup (Tim merely rejects the way the book was written, he doesn't address the conclusions).
I accept that our economy is really bad but I don't think he makes a good case about whether there is going to be a catastrophic adjustment or just a minor policy adjustment.

Now that the world economy is collapsing under crushing debt and poorly managed disease epidemics, it may be obvious that as a species we need to come up with different organizing principles or else move on into oblivion.
