Polygyny (/p蓹藞l瑟d蕭瑟ni藧/; from Neoclassical Greek 蟺慰位蠀纬蠀谓委伪 from 蟺慰位蠉- poly- 鈥渕any鈥�, and 纬蠀谓萎 gyne 鈥渨oman鈥� or 鈥渨ife鈥�) is the most common and accepted form of polygamy, entailing the marriage of a man with several women.
