this book was one i was had been anticipating to read for awhile and unfortunately, it didn鈥檛 live up to my expectations. it me awhile to finish as whenever i put it down, i found myself lacking the motivation to pick it up back up. part of the reason i feel this is because of the writing style. i think olivie blake is a great writer and offers many interesting perspectives in her writing, but i don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 for me. i also struggled to root for regan and aldo as their dynamic just seemed a b ...more

I knew going in that it wasn't going to be the fast, easy romance book that I've been known to read. The writing style took some getting used to, but once I did, I felt like I was in their minds.
