To merely disregard this as a "love story" is the understatement of the decade (yes I know it's on the front page, written by the author herself, but still). And I don't mean to diminish the romance genre to something less than other genres, I love it myself, wholeheartedly. The thing is, the craft put into these two main characters is probably beyond any romance novel I have ever read. Honestly not sure about the rating, but definitely not a 5 star read for me. Didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Regan annoyed me quite a bit 🙃

Sticking to 3.5 ⭐️ for now but might change my mind later.

This book was really interesting and a deep dive into the brains of two unique individuals as they fall in love and deal with their mental illnesses. The first half of this book had me captivated, but I felt that the second half was repetitive and began to drag.

this book was one i was had been anticipating to read for awhile and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. it me awhile to finish as whenever i put it down, i found myself lacking the motivation to pick it up back up. part of the reason i feel this is because of the writing style. i think olivie blake is a great writer and offers many interesting perspectives in her writing, but i don’t think it’s for me. i also struggled to root for regan and aldo as their dynamic just seemed a b ...more
