Enjoyable
First part of a series by author Scott Klimak. Kimberly, a young lady raised by her parents in a military type bunker is the main character. The outside is mostly not recovered from nuclear activity. Food supplies are becoming depleted and exploring the new world outside is a necessity. Good plot and characters, a pleasing read.

Great wee story about Kimberly, a teenage girl and her lovely bodyguard dog, Kaya, leaving home behind her parents' backs, and finding out that life outside is just that little bit more different and dangerous.
The author hooks you from the first page and keeps you there until the end. I'm looking forward to finding out more about Kim and Maya in the future. ...more

A very good, engrossing, action filled and fast read. I wanted to save it to read on a trip next week, but couldn't put it down. It moves fast without you missing a thing.
Well written with a great description of a dour post-apocalyptic setting and well executed character development. So when's the follow-up coming out? ...more

Great short story!
Who doesn’t love a good post apocalyptic fallout shelter!
The author does a great job keeping the excitement going.
This scratched a particular itch that usually ends with me playing one of the fallout games.
Can’t wait to read more about Kimberly and Kaya and see how the shelter fares with all the changes.
Find out more about the big bad that was hinted at the very end!
Can’t wait to read more from Scott W Kimak.
