I was wavering between a high 4-star rating and going for the five. Then I read the epilogue. Maybe it's because I'm a mom to two boys, but, as the kids say, it got me right in the feels.

A philosophical twist on the traditional western. A morality tale that makes you question human 'civilization,' and also your own thoughts and actions, especially when you begin to sympathize deeply with the narrator, a hired killer. A very visual and quick read, but with lots of 'big ideas' at its foundation. Highly recommended!

My first Western, I think. Was really into it for the first half, but then found I got a little tired of the story in the second half - I just didn't care about finding Warm anymore, so when Eli and Charlie finally track him down, it was a tad anti-climactic for me. Quirky characters. First person narration was unique, but I'm still a fan of third person (or, at least, more than one perspective).
