My daughter and I chose Untamed as the book for our book club. We had lots of time to really really delve in and chat about it. I think for this reason I found the book so enjoyable. The ability to her my daughter鈥檚 thoughts on the author鈥檚 comment and then to share my own thoughts. My daughter is in her 30鈥檚,the author, her 40鈥檚 and I am in my 60鈥檚.
It is fir this reason I gave the book

Shelves: memoir

I wanted to like this book, but all it ever really did was irritate me. While there are some nice nuggets of wisdom here and there, truly this book felt poorly organized, with a lot of rambling and repetitious thoughts. The author contradicts herself often (that whole "I don't allow my kids on electronics because it's bad for them vs. electronics raised my kid and made them a better person). She takes a defensive tone, and pretty much blasts anyone who doesn't think exactly as she does.

Outstanding

I will be referring back to this book often. It was a huge revelation, and I am blown away. She is living her truth and inspiring me to find my own.
