First in the amazing series!
I found Houseboat on the Nile almost accidentally. I was searching for a book I had seen a while before and came across this. The blurb drew me in, but for a while I was skeptical because buying a book based on the blurb or cover (which I love) can bite you in the ass. It has done for me several times. However, this was one of those exceptions that I have to talk about.

Gah! I loved this book! I Mark and Quinn!!
Not sure why I put off reading this for so long. Maybe the right person had never forced me to understand how good it really was...until recently.Â
I wouldn't really call this a mystery...although there may be some long standing underlining mystery that might reach some form of conclusion by the end of the 3rd book? But who the fuck really cares?! Â This is ALL about Mark Vincent and Quinton Mann; two men from rival agencies on a mission to see who can o ...more

I had high expectations.
The beginning was great. I totally enjoyed the main characters. They're so obsessed with each other that I could feel the sexual tension. I liked how they were always provoking each other. What I didn't like was the way the author chose to narrate the story. It's first person point-of-view for both characters, the same events are told by both characters in different chapters. It was a bit exhausting. I know I complained many times, when I read about a single point-of-view ...more

Only thing that kept it from a solid 5 was the repetition.

sometimes i pick a book in my "to-read" list and say: "i had you like ten thousand years, well, its your time, honey". its interesting, because i dont like spy books. i like cops. i like hunting the bad buys. i like bodyguards, but spy? or spook? not so much. why bother when everywhere i look is some good cop story? but this thing... i fell in love with that amazing cover. seriously. and then i fell in love with Quinn. i love that name. and then... i fell in love with the book itself. with their

I want to be upfront and honest in this review about the book, Houseboat on the Nile by Tinnean. I have not read any of Tinnean’s other books, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. It was hard read for me because of the constantly changing, first person point of view (POV), and the flashbacks. However, I was captivated enough by all the characters and their story to keep reading and I’m glad I did.

Very nice! I like the work they put in editing this story. The repeating scenes from different POV worked better here, I only found it tedious in the scene when Quinn visits Mark at his appartment, probably because we'd had to go back so much in time for Quinns part.

This book was simply amazing. The MCs are both funny, the mind games they play with each other are really entertaining. This story had me grinning like an idiot 90% of the time I was reading it. Definitely goes to my favorites shelf and will be re-reading it in the future.

As amazing as ever! Loved it!! <3
