Simple but profound. There is nothing I can say about this book that hasn't been said before except for the fact that what a Masterclass in writing this one is for aspiring writers like myself. Less is always more, if you know how you say it right.

This was my first venture into Hemmingway and I was delighted with what I found. It is quite astonishing how such a small and simple story can have such an effect. I can understand why the novel (although I thought it more of a novella) won the Pulitzer Prize and Hemmingway won the Nobel Prize for literature the following year.
