I am obsessed. Seraph Black, Noah and Cabe, Silas and Quillan have completely taken over my reading life. I am not sure what to do with myself until the next book is released. Often an author writes the first book of a series and it shows so much potential, but as you read the following books, they never reach the level of the first. This is not the case with Watercolour Smile. Charcoal Tears was a really good book; this one is even better.

Seraph is still overwhelmed by the bond, but she's beco I am obsessed. Seraph Black, Noah and Cabe, Silas and Quillan have completely taken over my reading life. I am not sure what to do with myself until the next book is released. Often an author writes the first book of a series and it shows so much potential, but as you read the following books, they never reach the level of the first. This is not the case with Watercolour Smile. Charcoal Tears was a really good book; this one is even better.

Seraph is still overwhelmed by the bond, but she's becoming more proactive as she adjusts to being a Zev. However, by fighting the bond it becomes more complicated for all of them to deal with. It's causing each a strain in their own way. Their reactions are all unique to their character and I can't claim to understand them all, but I found myself upset with Seph for causing the boys pain I don't believe is necessary and putting them all in more danger.

This book is full of twists and turns. It's wonderful to never know what might happen on the next page. I enjoyed the growing friendship Seph has with Poison and Clarin. The changes between Seph and Tariq were interesting as well. The Messenger is a worthy enemy/partner. He is a compelling character we are starting to get more information and understanding about. However, the book is all about Seph and her pairs. Her relationship with Quillan is still a mystery to me. I feel like there's more than she's admitting. She frustrates me with Cabe and Noah. Her lack of trust in the feelings, while understandable, bothers me. And then there's Silas. He and his inner beast rule each page that he appears on. I can't get enough and want so much more! I am utterly fascinated with him.

I don't want to go into any of the book's details. It's so very good and so unpredictable that I don't want to spoil it for another reader. Just know it's well written, fast paced, and personally left me gutted for 3 different reasons. September 30th can't get here fast enough. I just finished this book, and already frantic to know what happens next. ...more
