I liked this book better. There was some mystery there and definitely more action
Here Avalon meets new members of her Fold and continues on with her study at Spearwood.
Jericho is being a jealous jerk. At first it was understandable but in the end he just behaved like an idiot. I hope there was a solid reason for that.
But the ending was rather abrupt. I didn't like that. No real explanation or anything.

Good bridge novella to lead in to the next full book. It gives us new characters and furthers existing character growth. Avalon's relationship with her fold is progressing and the relationships are moving to the next level. I wasn't thrilled with 2 of the new fold members, but Dante is a great addition. It managed to give us necessary information that might have bogged down the pace of the next book. And with it's ending, it leaves the reader anxious to continue the story in the next book.
