Utterly amazing. You only need to read (or in my case, hear) the first few pages of the book to fully understand why this series was so successful and loved by people all over the world.
Adams is a true genius in both his writing style, his plot, his characters, his imagination, his sci-fi concepts and technologies, his england-inspired universe building, his... aaagh, who am I kidding? This book is p.e.r.f.e.c.t.

I think I came at this book thinking it would be better than it was. I have heard people ranting and raving about it so much over the years, I thought it must be one of the most amazing reads I would ever experience. It was funny here and there, but it just wasn't what I had expected, and I didn't fall in love with it.
