I received this arc for my honest review. I was instantly hooked from the very beginning. Jess is a parole officer by day and on the weekends she’s a bartender at a club for extra money. Everything begins at a hockey game, she is looking for a restroom and walks into a stairway by accident. While in the stair way she meets Trace. The connection is almost instant. Re read 2023 - I actually liked this book better the second time I read it! I was hooked AGAIN and loved the push and pull between trace and Jess and the way I’ve been pulled into this world again ! I re read this mainly because the second book has just been released and I can not wait now to dive into Ashton’s story !

This was an amazing rollercoaster ride, Tijan just knows how to capture me and never let me go until I hit the last page. Trace and Jess's story is refreshing, a parole officer and a Wall Street manager, who is part of a mafia crime family. These two are made for each other, their chemistry is ready to ignite the entire room. I can't wait to read more about this couple, hope we don't have to wait long.
