Well crafted novel intermingling variations in witch powers and characters. Might be a bit intense for young readers (paper bird attack, sacrificing babies and aging).

Magic, love, family, life, sorrow, knowledge, witches, dragons, bog monsters, poetry, origami, stars, the moon, memories, hope.
