You got to beautiful stories out of this book that intertwined at the ending.

This has been my favorite Nicholas Sparks book yet! Probably because it was so close to home for me. South Carolina, the ranch, the horses, country music. I don't think I will ever forget this book!!! ...more

This was my first book by Nicholas Sparks. Having loved the movie The Notebook and knowing how popular he is, I was really looking forward to becoming a new fan. However, that did not happen with this book.
The Longest Ride tells the story of two couples, Ira & Ruth and Sophia & Luke. The way that Ira & Ruth's story is told is by Ira, a ninety-one year old man, reminiscing on his life and having visions of conversations with his deceased wife, Ruth. I actually really enjoyed this book. I just love the way in which Nicholas Sparks write. While i read this book somewhat fast, there were times when i had a hard time getting through chapters It was usually around the Ira storyline. Other than that like i said I really enjoyed this book,
