My experience teaching Columbine this semester has been terrific. Not only is it an important book that I'm happy to have had my students read (all 81 of them), but they responded with interesting and insightful comments and discussions. It's a great book for college students because they've got a little perspective on high school, but they're not that far removed from it. I have been eyeing this book to read for a long time. Did I really want to explore this topic? Did I want to revisit April of 1999? I was preparing to graduate from highschool when "Columbine" happened, 13 years is a long time and I figured it was long enough so I decided to go ahead and give the book a shot.
