What Members Thought
Gruesome hilarity aboard an ill-fated ship. I thought this was amusing and shallow, though very funny at points. Korbal Broach is funnier here than he has been anywhere else I've read so far. And Bauchelain is always a treat. Erikson has a way of creating otherwise unimaginably cool, yet gross monsters for his books, and this one kind of ups the ante in that regard. But, at the end, this is kind of a throwaway book, nice for its amusing sections, but not much more.
