As you can see by the dates, it took me an unusually long time to finish this book. For me, the first 200 pages dragged on, with no real sense of direction and a lack of personality from the protagonist, Shadow. After hearing this book praised by so many of my friends and fellow authors, I was incredibly disappointed with the beginning � but I hate leaving books unfinished, so I returned to the novel.

Fascinating and gripping take on what a current-day god could be.
Shadow is an amazing character.
