Anyone who was a fan of Ron Swanson and especially Nick Offerman should read this book. The audio version is read by the man himself, which definitely adds to the experience - especially his cute little giggles. This memoir starts with his childhood on a farm in a tiny Illinois town (he often equates his tales to "Little House on the Prairie") and goes right up to his Parks & Rec days. Pretty good as celebrity memoirs go. I like hearing funny people read their work out loud. The first few chapters are preachy, stuff I agree with like gay rights and the separation of church and state, but he just goes on and on. After a few chapter it settles into what you'd expect and gets better from there.

Not as funny as I thought it would be but I liked the life advice he gives. Some of his career path stories were interesting (mostly toward the end when he talks about Parks and Rec).
Not only is this book humorous at the right time, it gives wonderful insights into acting, philosophy, his life, and of course woodworking. Highly recommend this, even if you have no clue who he is.
