What Members Thought

Rating 4.5
Once I got to the half way point I couldn't put the book down! In the beginning of the book, for just about everything you thought would happen, there would be something else that you just didn't see coming. Then even when you knew what was going to happen, there would be just enough of a tweak to keep it interesting.
I really enjoyed Fool Moon.

Definitely better the second time through. With just about every kind of werewolf imaginable creating havoc in Harry’s life I remember struggling to keep them straight and not being clear on how they all got dealt with in the end. Turns out that’s because one of the packs stays on to become series regulars! (view spoiler) are the bunch to watch for so you won’t be scratching your head (like me) when they show up in later books, knowing you’ve come across th

I would give this book 5 stars if it wasn't for the stupidity of Murphy. I can't believe this woman is even a cop, she does so many stupid things. What was Jim thinking when he wrote that? I don't know.
Other than that, it was a great action packed story. ...more

Wasn't impressed with the first in the series, but as people say it improves, I'll give #2 & 3 a go, and then decide whether to complete the series.

Werewolves!
I'm not normally a huge fan of stories about werewolves. The ones I've seen on TV or film often look silly. However despite all that I definitely enjoyed this book. Harry's back and he's still a lot of fun and a punching bag for the author. A little more detail about his past, developed some of his key relationships. Bit of a weird dream sequence that I'm not sure I cared for and an honest-to-goodness sex scene! Not that I minded - pretty tame and tastefully done - but I'd figured Har ...more

Good book. I hope Murphy gets better because I'm finding her distrust of Harry and aggressive manner rather annoying.

I was really hoping to like this book. I didn't care too much for the first book in the series, but I had been told the series keeps getting better. I ending feeling the same way about this one. I actually did some speed reading just so I could finish. I don't really feel that connected to the characters. There was no pull to finish the book, but I can't stand not finishing, so I did. I didn't hate the book though, I liked the supernatural aspect and creatures, along with some of the ma ...more

Continuing my re-read of the series, I truly enjoyed this book. I had forgotten that werewolves came into the tale so early, and like the first book, my later knowledge of who the characters will develop into spiced my enjoyment of their introduction. Susan plays a much larger part in Harry's life than I had recalled, and I had forgotten much of the interplay with Marcone. Harry is such a wonderful protagonist, so complex, and this world is so intriguing, that I'm having a great time with the re
