So if you read my last Dresden Files review you might be surprised that I went straight on to read this. Eh. Call me inconsistent. ;)

I enjoyed this about the same and for the same reasons. The bits of the formula I like are here and you sort of know what you're going to get - part of which is the not knowing exactly how things are going to resolve and wanting to find out.

One thing I did sort of want to mention was that there's a fairly explicit sex scene in this book that I still don't

Another great urban fantasy featuring Chicago's only wizard, Harry Dresden. The action's centered around the Shroud of Turin this time, that, and the ongoing war between the wizards and the vampires. Harry's corny humor and the introduction of a few new characters keep things feeling fresh and original even though this is #5 in the series. And Jim Marsters' narration of the audiobook is his best yet. ...more

Harry's humanity, and his flaws really make this character, this story and this series work.

This was a fast paced, action packed edition in the series. It was tough to go to bed with 3 hours left to go in the story. Harry is hired to find a shroud. Turns out that it is not just wanted by its buyer, but other forces as well.
