I don't remember if I enjoyed this book as much the first time I read it (about 6 years ago) but I really enjoyed it this time around.

Yes, the battles can sometimes be a little too gory and the techno-babble go on a little too long, but the meat of the story is intense, exciting, adventurous and just plain fun. Then there is the heart of of it all: Honor Harrington...intelligent, courageous, honest, loyal, fierce, and Fearless! She exemplifies her name - Honor!

This was really a good story! I'm giving it a 4 solely because the first 1/3 of the story was SO slow I almost quit, but I'm glad I kept on. I listened to the audiobook version of the story and while I wasn't happy with the girlish voice that the narrator chose for Honor, she was a good reader. Very much enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book. ...more
