I really enjoyed the story of Gastien. I found myself looking forward to reading about him and his triumphs and tribulations. It's a well written story.
I wish there had been more details about the clothes that people wore, the foods they ate, etc. What did Gastien read? Who were his favorite authors? Dumas? Hugo?
